If it took a whole lot of effort, then almost by definition it was an expensive joke?Dragonaur wrote:I don't know. Anything artistic can be a time sink! As long as you had fun (at no one's expense) it's OK. ^_^shadowinthelight wrote:This took way too much effort for a cheap joke.
Quite an excellent one, I thought, although it understates the matter more than a little. Coming up against Bud, [She-]Hulk wouldn't stand a chance.
That would be one of those "Guys drowning in their own saliva" moments that Bud referred to, while dancing at the Cerberus Club?shadowinthelight wrote:Yes, fortunate. Re: Fan Art
I was being melodramatic. It didn't really take that much effort, just that the joke was that cheap. Sort like paying $0.10 for a piece of candy you know is worth no more than $0.05.Dragonaur wrote:I don't know. Anything artistic can be a time sink! I'd rather not drown in my own bodily fluids. Having walking pneumonia last year was bad enough. Despite other characters' obvious attractive qualities, Bud would likely be the one I would be pining for were they all real people.Dave wrote:That would be one of those "Guys drowning in their own saliva" moments that Bud referred to, while dancing at the Cerberus Club?

That's not to say the candy isn't tasty enough to warrant the extra nickel...(in otherword, it was cute, and worth it).shadowinthelight wrote:I was being melodramatic. I had full blown knocked me down almost to hospital level pneumonia last year(and had to deal with taking care of a child with Bronchitis, and not one, but two funerals, and a friend dealing with the big "C"), so I hear ya there. I'm only now recovering my voice(I have to wait for some cash to have my vocal chords inspected, because I may have ended up with nodes again), so singing hallelujah is nigh impossible.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

See, now this kinda confused me... In the Cerberus Club, she's all about making guys hot for her by doing outrageous things... then on the beach with Brandi, gets a little shy about being hot enough to make all the guys look at her (the ice cream incident). Is it that she's that vacillating? Or is it that she just enjoys watching guys drool, but not be the cause of it?Dave wrote:That would be one of those "Guys drowning in their own saliva" moments that Bud referred to, while dancing at the Cerberus Club?

Is it that she's drunk, perhaps? Quoth Brandi: "When you were still drunk, you'd dry-hump if the wind blew."

Seems to be the case... she's demure and shy when sober, and more than a bit exhibitionist when drunk.Sidhekin wrote:Is it that she's drunk, perhaps? Quoth Brandi: "When you were still drunk, you'd dry-hump if the wind blew."
Her golem program does seem to include the "ethanol inhibition suppressor emulator" module.

Hahahaha! Very nice... and the idea of a zombified Titan of Force makes it just the wee bit unsettling.
I suppose it's because I haven't had my morning coffee yet, but on seeing this rescript I immediately flashed on a scene from Barry Hughart's novel "Eight Skilled Gentlemen". Master Li and Number Ten Ox were attacked by a warlord's half-human-half-snake bodyguard, killed him, and now must dispose of the body from within a sealed, heavily guarded fort. The only way possible... feed the body to the warlord's guests at the grand banquet.
"Yu Shih, shall we do the brains in a traditional turnip sauce, or would you prefer oyster broth?" Master Li shouted over the sound of the puppeteer's ax.
"You know, I rather favor poaching brains in coconut milk, if Ox can find any," Yu Shih replied thoughtfully.
"Brilliant!" Master Li said admiringly. "Ox, see if you can find any coconuts."
"Gllgghh!" I said.
Definitely, the wok'ing of the dead.

As Paul's recent experience confirms, it's a really bad year for allergies. Powerful sneezing is only to be expected.
