Bia is up... that's what's up... Nothing good can or will come of a visit from Bia... Sounds like she needs to visit the Library again...

Phix and Shelly both would want to know that Bia is stirring the pot again with Tina as the focus of whatever her plan might be... which could be enough to enrage Phix all over again.

I just hope cooler heads will prevail. Bia seemed....almost contrite (for lack of a better word) when she appeared before Tina; she may not have some diabolical plan in the works.

Bia knows Tina but Tina cannot remember Bia. Since the voice is familiar their prior meeting must have been after Tina was punished, not before. As Tina lost all memories of before. Could Bia actually erase Tina's memories of their prior meeting? IF she did it was for a purpose.
I am beginning to suspect that Bia has been a lot more central to everything than has been indicated or any one guessed.

At the very least, I would want her to come forth openly and initiate a discussion, rather than lurking in shadowy dream -space. If she's continuing to act as if she is pulling strings from behind the scenes, I would probably consider her motives very questionable.DilyV wrote:But can we afford to trust her? Plan yes, diabolical no. Her methods as a titan have made her come across as a bitch but I think she means well.MerchManDan wrote:she may not have some diabolical plan in the works.

Evil is rational, and Bia has a plan. It's highly unlikely that her visit to Tina was altruism for it's own sake, so what's she up to? What plan of hers would require use of someone with Tina's insight?
Bia doesn't strike me as a meddler -- she's out for a prize of some kind. What would constitute a victory for her? Something beyond simple vengeance, I'd expect.

Things have come full circle. At the beginning Monica was a little bit afraid of TIna. Now it has reversed. Funny how life has a way of doing that. lol.
I can understand Tina's feelings as well. So much of her remembered life has pretty much been out of her control. She doesn't remember why she was punished or anything that happened before. She is inhabiting a host but has no idea of where she is going. Now she has watched Monica grow to a point where Monica can do anything she wants to Tina, just like Phix can. Even though Monica is a friend demons have never been big on trust have they.
In one frame it looks like TIna is now support a scalp lock? That is a pretty extreme mohawk. She's never been big on trends so this has to reflect an internal personality change.

She's been described (in both our space and Wapsispace) as an agent of Zeus... the very personification of Force itself. It's possible that her goal may be an Olympian one, assigned to her by The Big Guy, rather than being personal.Atomic wrote:Bia doesn't strike me as a meddler -- she's out for a prize of some kind. Her plan, whatever it is, may not be "evil", might not be "good" either... it might be morally neutral or ambiguous. Whatever it is, I doubt it's terribly concerned with the comfort or even the wellbeing of those it happens to involve... that doesn't seem to be her strong suit, from what we've been told about her.

Random thought - we know that Bia is using her bloodline(s) in an attempt to achieve a purpose (prophesy?)zachariah wrote:Bia knows Tina but Tina cannot remember Bia. What if: The original Tina is(was?) of Bia's bloodline?
If so: What would that make our Tinas? (1.0, 2.0 etc)

I suspect that prophecy still plays a big motivation in Bia's actions. The question is, does anyone truly understand what the Sibyl was saying will happen?

Unless Bia's voice just sounds like Shelly's; my Mom has occasionally sounded so much like her mother that it actually (albeit unintentionally) fooled me.zachariah wrote:Since the voice is familiar their prior meeting must have been after Tina was punished, not before.

Good point. It can be similar enough to strike a chord but different enough so she knows it was not Shelly.Prester Fred wrote:Unless Bia's voice just sounds like Shelly's; my Mom has occasionally sounded so much like her mother that it actually (albeit unintentionally) fooled me.zachariah wrote:Since the voice is familiar their prior meeting must have been after Tina was punished, not before.

Something's up? It wouldn't be the sun, now would it?
I did not twig to possible Shelly/Bia voice similarities, but I was not perfectly convinced Tina must have encountered Bia since her "punishment". I was even starting to run an analysis ...
Tina did not lose all kinds of memories. She has retained learned skills, obviously, like speaking English ... or recognition of newspaper clippings, not to say their relevance ... perhaps voice recognition comes with that package? Or perhaps Bia registers with her on an instinctive level, like Phix did?
Then again, I've assumed that the "something" that "compelled" Tina 2.0 to come to the Twin Cities, was Nudge. She may have had a hand in the collective's retention of certain (types of?) memories. Or even implanting some? Moreover, even if Tina retains certain memories independent of Nudge, there's no saying she had any memory of Bia before the "punishment".
Either way, we need to multiply some entities, aside from assuming an encounter in the first place, either to explain her retention of memories of Bia's voice from earlier, or to explain her not remembering Bia herself from a later meeting.
But the voice similarity thing is even simpler, and not out of the blue, either. I think Occam's razor favours it. And no, it still does not apply to fiction. I just can't help it.

Since Tina 1.0's soul was fused with Shelly's "companion"(which Tsillah has called her Shelly's sister ) then Tina is now part of Bia's bloodline. This also may give us another answer to the old question of who told Shelly's demons to block Tina's soul from the afterlife (or if it was Nudge, who told her).Grantwhy wrote:Random thought - we know that Bia is using her bloodline(s) in an attempt to achieve a purpose (prophesy?)zachariah wrote:Bia knows Tina but Tina cannot remember Bia. Monica's heard Bia's voice, if you recall. She obviously knows Shelly's voice.
A long time ago, when I was attending a wake for my stepmother, one of my first-cousins-once-removed showed up with her son (who, for you genealogists out there, would be my second cousin - I have a LOT of these, by the way). During the dinner, as we were sitting there, I heard her talking to her son - and I nearly freaked out, because it was a voice I hadn't heard in 30 years.
No, I'd seen my cousin since then, but the voice... was my mom's.

And what part do five winged beings play in it (assuming that's the same prophecy)?Aed wrote:I suspect that prophecy still plays a big motivation in Bia's actions. The question is, does anyone truly understand what the Sibyl was saying will happen?
Five winged beings- Tina, Phix, Shelly, Atsali, and... ?
