*looks at Wdot's coloring of female non-human in bathing suit* I will not become a furry... I will not become a furry... I will not become a furry...

Kell's color seems to change but they do match this strip which was one of the first to come up in Google for me.

Updated the Wapsi Color References to include PW's coloring for Atsali and Castella.

(Guess what I'm working on?)

Thanks for all the nice comments and feed back! Jabberwonky I'm glad you liked my texture use, I like to use texture, but I find I have to rein myself in, because I tend to want to over use it. MORE TEXTURE! I used the color for Kel that was on the link supplied by Paul. When people started to comment on the color I went back and looked and Kel in the banner at the top of the strip was a different color than that in the strip--- I didn't notice that at the time. However, since it was a new picture, I would have gone with the new color scheme anyway.

Shadowinthelight I had to look up the defintion of "furry" http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/furry and I guess you have to decide for yourself whether or not you fit, not that there is anything wrong with that! However, you're probably already infected. You're reading a comic containing a "Jaguar Girl" a Trickster demigod with legs of a horse tail of a coyote and ram's horns, two sphinxes, a siren and more.

Looking forward to your stuff Atomic!

To all the Americans Happy Thanksgiving! To the nonAmericans hope you all have a wonderful day, too!

Textures, textures, wahhhh!! Ahem, yes, I try to not go too crazy on textures too. But they can really jazz up an image, wahhh!!! Nice work on the colors Wdot!

Wow, I haven't seen "Kevin and Kell" in quite some time.

Okay. I ran across the left-hand part of this (with its caption) a while ago online somewhere.

Ran across it again today.

And i suddenly heard a "click" and a little CFL lit up above my head*.

the problem is... that she DOES realize the powers she has... and DOESN'T WANT THEM...

remember, all we *really* know is that Pickles said that Atsali KNOWS her parents died, and that Phix has said that humans would execute them on the spot if they knew about them... thus, reading between the very blurry-soon-to-be-invalidated-lines... i'm seeing that possibly her parents were MURDERED because a third party (not yet known by us readers) found out about the parents being paranormals (mom at least, no real info on dad yet) and it all stems from her mom being a Siren... so, consequently, Atsali DOESN'T want to be associated with that side of her being. she's known that from day one that we met her...

I know. It was just too good to pass up.

And when Atsali is a bit older and her own hormones start kicking in more solidly, and Monica and Katherine and Bud and Nudge help her with her body image problems and Suzi and Lily start showing her that even shitty mosquito can fit in and have friends...

And, actually, it was a sort of derivation from planning this:
ashpower.jpg
ashpower.jpg (110.8 KiB) Viewed 12162 times
(Which uses a piece a group of fans commissioned from Chris Hazleton who does Misfile; the idea behind it is that the company Ash's mother (who's a wheel in the fashion industry) is associated with is bringing out a line of "tomboy" fashions and Marie calls Ash and convinces him (with crisp green persuasive reasoning) to do a photoshoot modeling them, no matter how he hates being "girly" or "feminine".

Darin teaching para-normals, that would be a nice twist.
It would keep his interest again and I bet the pay is a site better.

The swimming suit and this arc has me thinking about an old name for flotation devices.

Rather like "Dagmars" was a name for chrome bumper guards of a certain style on 50s cars...

These are dagmars:

And yes, they were named after her.

"Sir, The hull's breached in seven different places! We're taking on water, fast!"

"Quickly, inflate your pair of atsalis and then abandon ship!"

Hmmm. . .I don't really see that terminology catching on any time soon. Though stranger things have happened.

Water is a difficult medium to portray, but I gave it a shot! I mean mermaid, I had to try!

Applause indeed, Wdot! Very nice work!

I would say something about your choice of colors being appropriate, pleasing, and inoffinsive, but I have no doubt that someone would decide that I should be mercifully drowned. (Merciful for them, and for all of you, not necessarily for me).
