Oh, well, I imagine that wonderful big sister Atsali will save up memories of these moments, and remind Castela of them when tables-turning-time arrives in a few years. :)

(yeah, the new comic is up, but it didn't show up on the front page for me... stale cache somewhere? Try going back to the previous one and then using the "next" button a few times)
Kids in kin-dirt garden do not have an off switch. The more embarrassed you are about what they are talking about the more they will talk about it. Only because 90% of what they say gets ignored. When they hit on something that gets attention they will fixate on it, so the fastest way to get them to change subjects is to, well, change the subject and talk about them in a positive way. Which is all they really wanted in the first place. (especially amongst siblings)

Too bad they couldn't do The Marx Bros. routine.
I don't know, with just Moni and 'Sali in the same panel, would there be room for all four of them?

Probably, but it's a bit of a double edged sword. I don't think either Atsali or Monica are comfortable enough with the situation to want to be left alone with each other right now.

Hopefully Monica had a younger cousin or something like that (she doesn't have any siblings does she?) and can relate to the situation.

Monica is mostly isolated from her family by choice. Her aunt, uncle, and cousins are in Mexico and she has only visited them once. Her parents she keeps at a distance by choice. I doubt she's ever really forgiven them for putting her under mental care. She also doesn't trust them to understand at all everything she is going through. So she has no family members she could relate to. Even in school she was unique as she had large breasts since 3rd grade.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Whew. With all those embarrassing introductions over with, we can finally get back to talking about breasts.

Well, it looked as though Castela was getting quite the up-close introduction to Atsali's new real estate in several panels just after they first appeared. . .

Assuming that Castela has an equivalent of hitting puberty. Perhaps she'll literally blossom into young womanhood? Will her nectar-shakes bring all the bees to the yard?

That mostly matches my assumptions on her family but I don't recall it ever being stated or shown for sure. If I recall the vacation where she visited her aunts, uncles, ect; correctly, she was on good terms with them and was quite excited to be going to see them.

Pickle is so darn cute and Sali is so darn embarassed. Panel 4 is absolutely priceless. Little kids tell it like it is and that unnerves some people. They are the kind that hide behind a curtain of obfuscations and euphemisms, as the truth is often so painful for them to bear and they don't want others to think ill of them. They are often the most gullible and easily led.

I wonder how Monica dealt with those same bees while she was in school.

Because Atsali will almost certainly try to model her behavior based on Monica's.

Heh. As i said, Atsali is also tall, cute as a pixie, has platinum hair, all-over freckles (apparently) and even better legs than Bud.

Boys her age (and some girls) will be as putty in her grasp - even without the siren bit.
