Jet is very aggressive and Monica doesn't like it. She has probably never had this kind of experience before. Jet may not have either. But this is in line with her internal feelings and being in a mental link the subconscious took over. What points to this is Monica still has clothes and Jet doesn't. Though as a model Jet is a lot less body shy than Monica is. Monica is body shy because of what she experiences growing up and her over development.

This could be very bad, if Monica's self-defensive poiting powers aren't thoroughly inhibited while she's dreaming. If she's capable of "sleep-poiting", then (based on Monica's expression and body language) Georgette might find herself abruptly awakening in Lake Calhoun, or at 13,000 feet, or in a certain volcano...

This dream experience is going to have to be very valuable somehow, for Tina to be right about Monica's feeling glad afterwards. It isn't starting out on a comforting note!

For all the effort she's put into overcoming the critiques/rudeness of others concerning her breasts, tongue, etc, she's mostly made peace with that. (Link to backyard cartoon I can't find right now.) But -- it's mostly. That seed is still there, and Jet is attacking that personal zone in a big way.

That being said, I think this might clear things up a bit... Jet does seem to be projecting this "dream sequence"... giving substance to the term were used a few days ago... "Projective Empath", however it could be her reacting to Monica's ability to see other people's worst fears. Is she seeing Jet's worst fear... or her own? Or both? Is Jet projecting or is Monica drawing this from Jet? Does the fact that Jet is naked signify that it is Jet's vision, or is it Monica's vision? Jet does seem to be getting pretty handy at pushing this vision forward...

I don't think this is a projection. I think it is a shared dream! When Tina sent her to sleep connection was made at some mental level. This has to be a dream-scape(sp?) of some kind. They are sharing this and so far it is under Jet's control. Monica is too surprised and embarrassed to do anything about it. I expect that she will exert control once she figures out where they are. The good point about this is that Jet cannot run away from Monica. They will have to talk this out, or act it out, before they can work together to end the dream. The strip title gives us another pointer that this is a shared dream.

I wonder is Monica embarrassed by what Jet is doing, or by how she is reacting to it?

I'm not sure what Blackwing is trying to accomplish here, but I think she realizes it's going to be emotionally rough on Mon.

I agree this may be the best place to talk this out... and I agree this is a shared dream but who's driving it?

Or both. I wonder if Jet's drive to seduce another woman is repressed... something she wants in her heart but is too afraid to do in real life, relegating it to her dreams or sub-conscious?

I said this once before... Monica is comfortable around other women... has held hands with them... and on occasion has even engaged in flirting with them... innuendo and all. Thing is, it's been with people she's known intimately all her life and who know it is just harmless fun, nothing serious. Maybe it's not so much that she's too embarrassed to do anything... Maybe she's conflicted with herself. Sure, she's teased and flirted with friends who knew Monica wasn't serious... but now Jet is taking her to task and while she may feel fear, I wonder if it is the fear that she's enjoying this entirely too much. She's not saying no, don't, stop, quit or any other magic word that would bring this to a screeching halt and appears to be at least partially enjoying some of the sensations she's experiencing. Not saying what she might do or say five minutes from now... but at this moment, she appears to be feeling the moment...

The point to consider in these situations (assault, rape, sexual harassment) is that most sexual responses are stimulus activated. Trigger the right nerves and the appropriate hormones are released. Establish the right sequence of events and your partner will go along with it. This is an unfortunate consequence of our nature. When suddenly put in a intimate situation, there is an instant competition between the conscious and unconscious physical responses. And if they are at odds, there can be periods of confused inaction.

In addition when suddenly thrust into an unexpected and potentially threatening sexual situation the most common mental response is to freeze emotionally and let things progress as they will. This is because from a survival point of view that has the best chance for the victim to walk away alive and relatively unhurt from such an encounter in the wild. It may not be so great psychologically for the modern day, but it's still in our genetic baggage and takes a great deal of training and conditioning to overcome.

If you look closely, I think Monica's hand might be on top of Jet's... the positions of the arms kinda give it away. While I agree that Monica is conflicted and is most likely an unwilling participant, the moment of the last panel, it would appear that Monica is feeling intense pleasure... When given certain stimuli, the body will at times attempt to curl in on itself, one possible explanation of Monica's knee being drawn up between them... Timotheus is right... The human body reacts in strange ways in certain circumstances... and not often as we'd probably wish.

Look at Monica in panels two and three. Monica is running away from Jet. In the dreamscape Jet is chasing her and catches her from behind. That is a look of fear in Monica's face as well. This supports the freeze reaction idea. Even then Monica's expression and body language is NO. I think the right hand is trying to remove Jet's hand, not holding it in place. Monica is at a point where she is going to surrender, or get angry and fight back. I'll put my money on fight back.

I wonder how much her spirit powers work in a dream? If she can command spirits and demons she should be able to command the action in a dream where she is.

Look at Monica in panels two and three. Monica is running away from Jet. In the dreamscape Jet is chasing her and catches her from behind. That is a look of fear in Monica's face as well.

Monica isn't running, she just arrived in the dream world sitting down and leaning forward. Whether her look is fear or "WTF is going on?" is more debatable. The last panel in particular reminds me of Ménage à 3 when Yuki was spanking Didi. I thought it was pretty obvious (and turned out to be correct) that Didi was aroused but some people kept insisting her face was a negative response to the pain. Monica's blush shows her body at least is enjoying it but it remains to be seen what her response will be mentally/emotionally. She may not be in to women in the waking world but dreams have a habit of not following the rules. They are also often symbolic and any analyst will tell you sex dreams in particular rarely represent what they appear to on the surface.
