Didn't mean to imply that you hadn't been reading. I was just pointing out some ways our two FBI/MiBs differ from the "Standard Hollywood Vampire, tm". Pouring through thier appearances didn't show any particular weakness to sunlight, and keep in mind that in Brahm Stokers book, old Dracula could ramble about in broad daylight just fine.Sphinx-Napped wrote: that doesnt help, you see i never stated they would spawn other vampires and for the very fact we already know how they spawn and i never once even stated about killing them you just posted 5 links that has nothing to do with what i said, you implied that i haven't been reading for along as the comic been up and actually we have seen Suzie and Lilly at work during the night shift and yes we seen them before this arc started they was always stated working the graveyard shift for the police dept it was during there introduction to brandy...
if i remeber right they can go out side but they cant be in direct sunlight and or they have to wear heavy coats i.e trenchcoats to cover there skin

Probably because she doesn't know that the vamps are in any way connected to the supers that she knows...other than the fact that "the Library" sent them...and Kat has no specific reason to trust the Library (though she might have trusted the Librarians).adekii wrote:Through all the theatrics the only thing I'm interested in finding out right now is why Katherine thinks she's so much more special than an entire cast of (from what we've been shown) much more powerful characters who've already saved the entire damn world that she wants to keep these dolls a secret. Seriously, despite her fanboys she's nobody right now. If these dolls are now "more dangerous than the calendar machine ever was" then does this mean that the comic has slid into an ever-escalating DBZ pattern? But maybe I'm getting ahead of my fool self.
Paul has stated (as someone pulled from his Facebook and posted somewhere in the last several pages) that it should be assumed that Kat used Lily's phone to access the internet (thus to learn about Apaches)...which would suggest that the MiB folks probably have cell coverage of some sort here.DilyV wrote:Yes... Cell phones probably don't work where they are... Even though you seem to be recalling the fact that Kath has Lily's phone, I'm sure somene else among the group has one. The real problem is the desolation of the area that they are in. I seriously doubt they are within range of even the closest cell tower. I can't imagine the MiB's going into a known desolate area without a back up means of commo.Grantwhy wrote:>> I get out my mobile phone and ca..... aw FiddlesticksDilyV wrote:Oh, and by the way, Lily? The big black helicopter crashes into the wall carving, resulting in a large fireball and explosion, totally obliterating the carving and leaving you stranded in the middle of the desert.
To the east, there is desert.
To the south, there is desert.
To the west there is desert.
To the north, you guessed it, more desert.
Your party has minimal gear.
What will you do? What. Will. You. Do?
>> Count the number of NPCs who are wearing red shirts (It's a long walk back to base and I might get thirsty )
>> comb the desert for clues

Why does Katherine think that?Julie wrote:Probably because she doesn't know that the vamps are in any way connected to the supers that she knows...other than the fact that "the Library" sent them...and Kat has no specific reason to trust the Library (though she might have trusted the Librarians).adekii wrote:Through all the theatrics the only thing I'm interested in finding out right now is why Katherine thinks she's so much more special than an entire cast of (from what we've been shown) much more powerful characters who've already saved the entire damn world that she wants to keep these dolls a secret. Because
A) she obviously has background knowledge and experience we don't know about
and
B) because, except for Lily (who, so far as she knows, is just another random I'm-from-the-Government-and-I'm-here-to-help), none of them are on the scene ... and she is.
If you asked Indiana Jones whether he's the best-qualified person to deal with the stuff he kept getting into (and if he was feeling honest that day), he'd say no.
"But," he'd add, "I was the one who was there."
