Idiot kitten was snoozing in the sun on a ledge in the back yard.

I've stuck my head out and called several times over the course of the day.

No snugglies for her this afternoon.

(If the image below doesn't come through, you can find it here, BTW)

Phew! Glad to hear it! I misread your second posting, as "That's where she was last seen before she disappeared".

Here in the Silicon Valley we've had people lose "temporarily outdoor" cats to coyotes and hawks, and we've even had the occasional mountain lion spotted down here on the valley floor. Pets aren't necessary safe even in suburban back yards and even if they have no intention of running away!

We have coyotes in the area (it's the only sizable terrestrial animal that has significantly expanded its range since the Europeans came), and we've had a lot of hawks, too.

As I was out walking tonight on the edge of town, I heard a pack of coyotes yipping.

When i was living in Nashville twenty years or so ago, on different days in the same week at the same place, i almost hit a deer, a coyote and a fox crossing the road.

I imagine the cat was thinking something like "Dude, chill" when you found her.

Sounds like a joke setup.

Glad you found her!! It would have been awful to lose her...especially when you guys had already started bonding so well.

Glad you found her. Where was she hiding?
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.
