I officially began my career as a IRL super back 2001-08-31 0119 CDT when I was killed by a drunk driver who had to go around the median to get on the same side of the street as me and my bike. I was hit at approximately 60 MPH and my body went about 100 feet horizontally and 12-16 feet vertically and when first responders got to me I had no pulse or respiration, but as they were scraping me off the street I told the guy next to my head to be careful of my broken femur. He didn't drop me but getting told by the "dead guy" to be careful of the broken leg got me jostled a bit.

Glad to hear things got better. And, you're no longer a newt, either!

At that point I was still blind because of the swelling around my optic nerve. And going through my second or third operation out of five that stay. They had to patch the hole in my leg where the truck blew it up so they peeled a chunk of skin off my thigh to put over the hole in my calf. The recovery from that wreck was years long.
