Does anyone (else) think the takeoff and landing panels are reversed?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see that the flew from the mine entrance, landed, and then continued up the other side back into the air. I'm going to call this one an homage to the Chuck Jones Wile E. Coyote cartoons.

If I didn't know better I'd swear their little adventure had been planned by somebody. Which I don't.

Don't be silly it was planned by Pablo Wapsi :ugeek:

Those formations look like Canyonlands National Park. That probably puts them in Utah part of the four corners. This was the first step. There have to be more with each one reducing their speed. The luck of the Gods, or Paul, is riding with them. So when does Mommy turn to Wheee?

They are truly on their own now. Out in the back country in street clothes and not prepared to the environment at all. If someone doesn't help them they will be dead of thirst in three days. So who is going to show up to help them?
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Library visitors likely revert to their "normal" form, it would seem.

Anybody else getting a "Wile E. Coyote on skis with the icemaker/grinder on his back" vibe?

Oh.

My.

God.

I just rolled my eyes so hard I think I tore an occular muscle.. . LOL

Like Dusty in the movie Twister after the twister picked up Jo's truck with Dorothy still attached and dropped it in front of Bill's truck... "Well, it DID fly..."

It seems our plucky lil bird isn't as brave as she let on at first... or as quick thinking. She should have been ready to take wing as soon as they hit open air! Nothing so humbling as getting yourself into a situation you are sadly unprepared for. the look of Sheer terror on Atsali's face throughout the last few days... abject terror, unfettered fear... I can hear the gears clicking in her head... no... wait... that's just Atsali muttering under her breath...

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.... LOL

I gotta wonder... She's gonna have to answer to someone for this misadventure... I just wonder who it's going to be...
You know that light at the end of the tunnel?

Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

I am sort of expecting they will eventually coast to a stop and Brandi will walk up and say "What kept you?"

Ayup. Although in this case, the precarious Rube Goldberg ride they're on wasn't really of their own making. Wile E. usually managed to hoist himself by his own petard... in today's case, Someone Else seems to have made the arrangements with the petardology department.

My brain kicked out a bit of musical subtitling for the !!! in the last frame... Jon Anderson of Yes, "Close To The Edge"' singing AAAAAAH! - any other contenders for the soundtrack here?

Joan's reverse-recorded scream that opens this track?

I thought of Rube Goldberg when I saw this one and ran it with the last two strips. This is looking like someone set this one up to cause this reaction and send them to the proper place. This has the smell of Brandi (and maybe Nudge) all over it.

And we see that the explosions left them with soot-blackened faces; that's a sure sign that they'll come out of this with only cosmetic and sartorial damage.

I hope Katherine brought her celphone; she's deep in Coyote & Roadrunner country.

Deep enough that any attempt to turn it on and get service would probably attract one of those little humming air-darts that Coyote made out of sticks of dynamite. Bleep... churrp... whrrrrrRRRR... (horrified pause)... BLAM.

I loved that one...it would have been totally meta if they continued it once per episode afterwards, too, like right when it looked like he was going to catch the road runner...whrrrrRRRRR..."oh shit" face...BLAM

And of course, the coyote would be blown sky-high, while the roadrunner, unscathed, does the road-runner-raspberry tongue and takes off...

I would say this was set up by someone for their personal use. Something happened and they could not get back to take the ride. Doesn't seem like a trap since no one could have figured on the dropping of the lantern, setting things in motion. Not even Brandi. Thing is, it doesn't seem like it would have worked out quite right since the explosives were quite old now and probably not giving off the explosive force they would have originally. Either too much or too little. Either way it would seem like the cart would not have come down so precisely. For that matter, could someone have calculated how much explosive it would take and where to place it with enough precision to get the cart to the proper initial landing zone? It's not like they could test it. It had to work right the first time.

I suppose now it's heading for some final landing area or a hole in the side of something, either natural or supernatural. Or maybe there was a parachute back there somewhere that was going to be used for the final leg of the trip. Fortunately, one of them can fly should that be the case, but she'll have to get her wits about her. Of course we all know, whatever happens, they will survive, so it isn't all that much of a cliffhanger.
