Thanks! It's a glyph representing the obscure Maya deity "Alone-In-The-House-Of-The-King", associated with the period after the 13th Bak'tun, and god K. Apparently the texts about Alone were so frightening, it led the Inquisition to demand all Maya writing to be destroyed.

So, little is known about him.

The avatar glyph comes from a ruin near Tortuguero, with a disputed date which may be 13.0.0.0.11 (1/1/2013) in a partial sentence reading "[...] brings the fizzy pulque to placate Alone . . ."

wow, me too, i even remember the "No Gnews is Good Gnews with Gary Gnu" catchphrase too... though i did have to look it up to get it *exactly* right... i just gnu it was something similar...
