Dutch firm invents seatbelt that releases automatically while under water
In Holland, the chance of death by drowning is a significant factor in auto crashes because of the number of canals. (In Florida, actually, too.)
So a Dutch firm is marketing an after-market device that costs about $40 and automatically releases your seatbelt if your car is submerged.
