I do not think yesterday was a flashback with today's body.

However Suzi is, at least she's honorable about those dead she encounters this way.

MIB's Meals on Wheels. Guess you gotta keep them feed somehow. At least she's motivated to find out who Jane Doe was.

Kinda gross with the roadkill stew but the strip went there didn't it.

WTF? We're just left hanging as to yesterday's strip now with no idea what that was about? Or is this a flashback that will tie in to yesterdays? Hopefully the latter.

This is how Suzi gets her meals like yesterday's page.

This is a flashback from yesterday.

As gruesome as it is, at least the "let nothing go to waste" attitude is better than "just kill for food" like it seemed to be. Maybe the blood even gives her a way to know who the poor girl was (a kind of residual memory storage as in the stories of organ donations giving the new owners memories that were not their own).

I'm liking this new character. We'll probably never see him again (or even his face), but Doug's routine approach and not really caring about Suzi's attempts at honoring the dead are a nice, fun change of pace.

EDIT: Also, Suzie, you might have missed a few buttons again this morning.

Buttons? What buttons? Suzie don't need no stinkin buttons.

Well, this apparently confirms that the blood must be of human origin; it would 'uncomplicate' vampires if they could live on the blood of livestock.

Maybe 'dated' blood disposed of by a blood bank is too unfresh for them - and probably not enough of it, if there's a large vampire population.

Actually it proves nothing of the sort. She may subsist on animal blood (or maybe other foods), but this is a flashback to her hanging meat (sorry for the insensitive portrait of the poor girl) in the shower from the previous strip. it seems to say that there is a method to learn about a person from their blood, as I said in an earlier part of this thread (which also explains the "Time to make the donuts" line as she is going to work to learn about our victim).

She may need some for the organs as well, or it is just the quantities that she needs.

Unless she has some ghoul aspects (i.e. scavenger, like a buzzard), I doubt it tastes very good to her. It is not what her body would be designed for.
I also suspect she prefers it that way, she doesn't like what she is and doesn’t want to forget it..

This is a flashback from yesterday.
I imagine we're getting more flashbacks because vampires have more flashbacks.

I think its wierd to be getting so many flashbacks. Vampires aren't known for reflection.

If this is the body hanging yesterday, two observations.

1) Her toe ring is missing. I guess waste not, want not

2) If Suzie was once in the same condition, then maybe you don't have to be alive to be turned into a vampire and what Suzie is doing is part of the conversion process.

Perhaps Suzie will find out who she was by just asking her.

I don't think that's a toe ring, I think it's a toe tag.

Nobody deserves to be forgotten. My mother had a baby sister who lived just over a month. For nine decades she lay unremembered except by her immediate family. In 2009 I was able to rectify that unfortunate error, had a headstone placed on her grave.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Indeed! And to think that this may be an improvement!
