Don't care much for the current storyline (as has been established in a previous thread), but the "bigger on the inside" joke did make me laugh... I just never figured Tina for a Police box...

The traditional reaction to one's first meeting with Tina.

BTW: Harking back to an older post of mine {which has nothing to do with this page, but i want to be sure people see it}:

A week ago last Friday {15 February} i made a crack about the new fish girls' hair colours. On reconsideration, i suspect that at least some here didn't get it.

So, i posted a visual explanation back there - right here.

"HOW DARE YOU!!!"

"How dare you refer to stuff that has happened in an older thread, in a new thread," said he, hypocritically...
:P

The problem I have with the current storyline, is that if Shawna drinks a beverage like that, she's all too likely to morph into an 18'-high Pumpkin Spice Monster with cloven hooves, and (followed by a very distressed animated cinnamon bun) go rampaging across the city.

It's going to play hell with the continuity, and I have no idea how the MIB is going to cover it up successfully. I mean, you could smell that much nutmeg on anyone's breath for miles!

And, where, prey pray tell, is the tumbleweed's hand? Him? It seems to have taken root somewhere.

And there is no truth to the rumors that Tina is also dispensing buttercreams with her coffees.

And we see how well Tina's "retirement" has worked out (it hasn't) :ugeek:

Yeah, if you can keep track of someones pelvis you can pretty much anticipate which way they are going to jump next...

I foresee some quiet Deep Woods time for these two; way away in something like from 'Princess Mononoke' or something...

Apparently, Paul has anticipated we'd get the joke and provided, if not back-story, Visual Aids at least...

If Shawna has human reactions to nutmeg, that tablespoon will have her miserable and tripping balls, if it doesn't kill her.

2-3 teaspoons of nutmeg is considered toxic in humans. And its effects?
Wikipedia wrote:Varying considerably from person to person, nutmeg intoxication may occur with side effects, such as delirium, anxiety, confusion, headaches, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, eye irritation, or amnesia. Intoxication takes several hours before maximum effect is experienced. The effects of nutmeg intoxication may last for several days. Although rarely reported, nutmeg overdose can result in death, especially if combined with other drugs.
So, yeah. Nobody try this recipe at home. Please. :!:

EDIT: Actually, if there is anyone here in the r/wapsisquare reddit subreddit, please feel free--or even urged--to go repost this there. I'd do it, but it's a gated community, and I'm not going to kiss anyone's pinky ring to be allowed in.

RE-EDIT: So Pablo on the front-page comments just followed up my post there saying basically that the amount was intentional and that pixies do process such things different than humans. So take the Man's word to heart, and Don't do the Nutmeg Challenge, kids!

Well, that might explain the unpleasant tingle in my mouth when I've sprinkled the stuff on things. I have avoided it since.

Heck, my fanfic has people (werewolves, centaurs, and elves, not humans) drinking wolf apple tea.

Wolf apple trees, like tomato and potato plants, are in the nightshade family. Only selected parts of them are NOT toxic to humans. Those selected parts do not include anything useful for making a tea.

Well... it takes 2-3 tablespoons to start to trip, according to most sites I glanced at. 1 at the least.

A whole nutmeg has been reported to make people have nutmeg psychosis for up to 6 months. I guess it has a long-ass biological half-life.

I couldn’t find any solid data on the LD50 of actual nutmeg, just of the component chemicals found within.

Suffice to say, though, I agree Shawna is definitely pushing the limits of human safety. Not “this would kill a human”... but definitely “this would make a lightweight have a very strange trip”.

Nutmeg, cinnamon, mace, they all give me heartburn. Apparently something in each of those stimulates massive acid production in my digestive system. I'll still eat items containing them because the taste is so good; but I know I'll need to have antacids ready later.

I am rather surprised that word about Tina, and Mucho Mocha, has not spread around the local Para Community. Especially since two of her patrons are Shelly and Monica, two highly revered Paras.

Tina And Related Demons In Shazowieness? She turns on her caffeine circuit to take on the appearance of an innocuous innocent barista?

Maybe Shawna doesn't get out or socialise much?

Maybe she just recently entered Gryphon High?

Seems to me that i kinda recall that Castela and Scarlet were kind of blindsided when she showed up...
