Cas sweetie, pessimism has a time and place (trust me, I get it, I’m a pessimist too) but this ain’t it. This is you being a stick in the mud.

Well, in order to be a stick in the mud, there has to be mud... And that's exactly what she is doing: creating mud, using tears and dust as the main ingredients...

Timmy hasent figured out yet that when females start crying for no apparent reason the best order of battle is a tactical withdrawal, do not engage.

Ain’t any good, mincin’ words to sound tougher here. It’s a scramblin’ retreat, an’ anyone who says otherwise is a liar or a fool.
‘Course, some men throw caution to the winds, affix bayonets, and walk riiiiight into the mess. That’d be me. An’ I’ve seen plenty of strange things and been exposed to thought patterns that would make the Gordian Knot blush. There’s some powerful ugly snarls of logic and interpersonal relationships goin’ on in there.
But it ended with me having a wonderful girlfriend, so’s I think it’s worth it, in the end.

Isn't that a possible basic definition of a blackthorn tree, anyway?
