Reminds me of a guy i knew when i was in service. He could diagnose a problem and tell you step by step in accordance with the tech manuals how to fix nearly anything. Could not change a damn light bulb without screwing it up.

But depending on the fixture it goes into, that might be the correct procedure - either for removing the old bulb, or installing the new one.

The problem is, installing a new bulb usually requires screwing it _down_. Otherwise it's not tight enough.
