Beautiful city, Buffalo. Loads of history there.

And it's so peaceful, especially in winter when the lake-effect storms crossing Lake Ontario bring in a heavy snowfall. The tranquility of the northern side of Buffalo is legendary. It's even been the subject of extensive research. Bill Nye the Science Guy once did a whole project on it, and confirmed that just being in a December snowstorm in that area had a powerful relaxing effect on everyone on the research team, including himself. Old conflicts and resentments between the team members just faded away.

The resulting research paper was entitled "Nye aggro falls."

You know, Niagara Falls used to have quite the tourist attraction... a singing shoe! Really! People used to come from miles around, to hear it sing. Many a wedding was done to the melodious sounds of the singing shoe. Many a summer festival was enjoyed to the sounds of its songs piping through the PA system.

Until one fateful day, when the singing shoe became involved in a sordid scandal. And to make matters worse, it also lost its voice! It didn't take long for the public to turn against that shoe.

The newspaper had the story on the front page:
