Katherine has Mom Voice.
Jet has Girlfriend Stare
Both excellent for dealing with childish rants.

I wonder if the significant other stare is the precursor to the mom voice.

Nah.One does not necessarily portend the other - and Mom Voice most people don't realize is non-gender-specific. Call it Parent Voice if you will, but you develop it when you need it do deal with unruly offspring.
I can count on the fingers of one handthe number of times I had to invoke Middle Name on my daughter - and I don't remember ever getting to the point of using all three names. No yelling, no screaming, no histrionics required.
It's a modification of Command Voice - similar but not exactly the same.

When I was in high school and college, we found it interesting to note who reacted to parent voice and who didn't . . .
Admittedly, I suspected that a few of the non-reactors didn't react because they'd never done anything to call for it . . .
Oh, and parent voice can be unvocalized . . . I knew deaf people (who normally didn't speak because of that) who could do parent voice in sign language.

Looking at the last panel, i bet that if i had the energy to do an archive crawl, i could find at least one example of Cricket giving Monica that exact sullen face.

mmm . . . I don't think so . . . Cricket knew she was "effed up" and it scared her.

Cricket DID make that face, I'm just not sure it was at Monica.
We are sure Pickle has made that face too...
