Luci is pointing out what people were pointing out in yesterday's comments in the forums.

Whoops, Apparently that was last year in the comments.

Is Luci red-faced from terror, or because someone's unintentionally copping a full-body feel?

I'm pretty sure Castela is too wrapped up in logistics to realize she's all creeper-vine around Luci right now, but I see your point and raise you a subtle 'heh heh'.

btw- I'm just now reminded of Jodie Foster in 'Contact'...

But would it be as much FUN.

So far as i'm concerned, if there are two ways to do something, each about equally costly/difficult and each about as effective as the other ... i'm gonna go for the one that's more fun every time.

I get the feeling that Luci is not quite as enthusiastic about the para world, at this very moment...

Luci came through that rather well, if somewhat ruffled and breathless. But I'm wondering why she didn't point out the 'lower me down' idea before launch? Maybe she didn't think of it any more than Castela did. I'm getting a definite Peppermint Patty / Marcie vibe from their relationship.

She also seems to have calmly accepted that Castela is actually a mass of vines that can make itself look human.

Well, it looks as though Luci isn't too prone to motion sickness at least.

Maybe time seemed to slow down for Luci as she plummeted over the edge, and to balance things out it had to run faster for those of us observing her.

This is actually a service that some companies offer to thrill seekers, though for some reason they tend to use giant inflatable plastic balls rather than employing obliging Whatsits. You could probably buy one of the contraptions yourself. I remember that there was a Jackie Chan movie that opened with him using one to escape the baddies.

She might not have known just what Castela's plan was, or never got a chance to really object. Or she just figured that Castela knew what she was doing.

I expect that the main shock would just be accepting that there is a paranormal world with all sorts of weird critters coexisting with our own world. Once she processed that, meeting the myriad varieties of those weird critters is less of a shock. You just accept that there is going to be all sorts of weirdness.
