Which one? Most of the hardbacks can qualify as 'tome', and a good chunk of 'em have the CD's.
Re: Just picked up Honor Harrington tome...
I've pretty much read all of the HonorVerse stories by now & of the mainline ones more than once over. This particular book is "Mission of Honor" and includes CDver22 in the back...ShneekeyTheLost wrote:Which one? Most of the hardbacks can qualify as 'tome', and a good chunk of 'em have the CD's.
(edit) In my version I have a book cover that has Honor's Salute reversed, even though the rest of the picture is the same right-to-left (as in it's not that the whole picture was flipped) The space station is still on the left but the ships themselves are in slightly different positions, ect.
That, and the red sunburst has the text that says "Free Honorverse CD-ROM Inside".
Re: Just picked up Honor Harrington tome...
Yeah, for a while the new hardbacks coming out all had CD-ROMs in them; we had four or five different CDs. That was several years ago; you must have lucked out to find an older copy of Mission of Honor that still had the CD in it.
Re: Just picked up Honor Harrington tome...
Interestingly, that was also the same book where I got a CD, back when that book was first released. Now that I have my computer connected to the internet, I should be able to get the CD to work again. It'd work on our old computer before said computer stopped working, but I never could get it to work on the one I built.

Re: Just picked up Honor Harrington tome...
Thats weird.
I'd say this then: Don't try and get the CD to 'work' as in the HTML front end of it, just use your file manager to browse to the relevant files (in my case ePub formatted) and open them with an appropriate program.
Kind of a Manual, Ala Carte way to get things done, but it works.
PS- I was looking at the picture on the dust jacket and I kind of noticed that Honor Harrington didn't seem to have those 'almond eyes', that she got from her momma, in this particular painting.

She usually doesn't, as far as I've noticed. I think they were on the first book, but I'm not sure about the rest.
