Well it is Daylla 2 hope Daylla made it back home.

To Daylla-2, Dustin is obviously the hero of the day.

But what about Daylla-1? What must she be thinking?

Fade to black... I guess I disappear. I wonder what my friends will think... It's sad but true.. although the memory remains, in the end I'm just a disposable hero. I went out to seek and destroy... I hoped I'd get home, but it looks like that's the day that never comes. I'm stuck here in between universes, the four horsemen have me in their sights, and I have nothing to look forward to but a creeping death. But, at least, the world is safe now. Nothing else matters.

I have grave reservations about the sincerity of her apology. Heavy on the sin part.

Ah yes, this IS like Shlly One in the Time Forest: Similar clothing leading to mistaken identity, and an unexpected turn. Although where's Daylla-2's phone?

Daylla-1 smashed him through a door. Daylla-2 threw her weight on him in a hug and dropped them both to the floor. Dustin's going to need a chiropractor and traction.

All that said, let's look at this from Daylla-2's perspective. She figures out what's wrong at her school and goes to fix it. Intentionally or otherwise she winds up in the anchor beam. Two months pass, although she doesn't know it. Suddenly she's on the other side of her school and Dustin's there babbling and using her name as if referring to a third person, and being confused.

They're going to have a lot to talk about...

As for a lack of shoes: if you were impervious to most damage from normal sources, as well as indifferent to heat and cold, would you wear them?

Actually, I don't... know next to nothing about them. I had to look up a list of their songs, when the idea popped into my head all of a sudden.

Of course, in this universe, Daylla's not only dating Dustin, but Castela and Atsali live in a manor somewhere in Maple Plain, Minnesota. Their step-dad runs a major manufacturer of farm implements, and is also a centaur...

Daylla can't help it, Dustin just has that strongly magnetic personality.

I wonder how cold does affect her? Being metallic, she might actually have a harder time keeping her core temperature up to whatever it is supposed to be, since her body heat easily conducts through her and can be radiated or conducted out into her surroundings.
