and what do they do?
- a tail-spinning blind screaming panic!!!

in the dark eerie night's gloomy middle,
poor Dalia just had to go piddle
she dared look behind her
and so now we find her
in full-bore feet-beatin' skadiddle!!!

Help yelp caught Castela's attention
and brought the troop in her direction
they face off in the hallway
(and panic no small way)
with total destructive intention.

So now we must wait 'til tomorrow,
to see if there's victory or sorrow,
and who destroys who
(I'm guessing a few)
... and who needs clean skivvies to borrow?

From what we can see, at least. For all that we know, though, he could have his arms transformed into razor-whips, a giant glowing eye on his chest, and have porcupine quills all over.

Though Cricket, a presumably full-blooded Fae, didn't really go in for much in the way of transformations other than size and antennae. Perhaps Fae just normally look like humans.

Also of note is that Shawna is still right next to him.

Hey, give her a break. It's natural enough that a chthuloid eldrich horror would need to sleep soundly. Digesting a tummy-full of souls demands proper rest... it's the Otherworld version of a tryptophan coma after Thanksgiving dinner. (At Gryphon, being sent to after-school detention can mean an eternity of torment, if Valerie happens to be the proctor that day).

More seriously... Valerie doesn't match the description of any mythological entity I've ever read about. Closest animal kingdom analogy I can think of is a hydra (the pond-living kind, not the mythological) I wonder if she's even an individual... might be some sort of weird colonial organism, like a Portugese man-o-war?

Did anyone check the tags? Daylla isn't in the hallway. Where is she?

Those look like teddy bears to me. Either way, we now know that Digit goes for what's considered cute (though not by me; I'm kind of indifferent to such designs).

BTW, it looks like we are in danger of a hormone storm after the fear storm has passed. Pickle is hulking out and shredding her shirt. Shawna has misplaced her cover-up for her top. And unless Scarlet's clothes size up with the rest of her, they may be in tatters too.

It really is a good thing that they decided to have their first ghost hunt in the school, rather than somewhere else. Imagine if they'd been startled or spooked someplace out in the public areas of Minneapolis.
