My daughter and her husband took a holiday in NZ and fell in love with the place. She is from Texas, he from Massachusetts, they were on temporary assignment in Kazakhstan at the time- during winter. They both loved the experience. And the fact he is a huge LoTR fan meant the side trips they took to filming locations and Hobbiton were just icing on the cake. He is planning a return trip that involves his parents and myself. I won't argue against the plan, the photos of the places they visited were beautiful.
