My car is ultra shiny...covered in a lovely layer of glass...er ice.

Someone forgot to pay the Devil's rent this month(not that this homesick Yankee minds much).

Not as bad as they feared(it didn't get cold enough to stick too bad). Kids got a "snow day".

I was out about an hour ago; it was cold enough (18F with a 4F windchill) that the snow was squeaky-dry underfoot...

Here in central Wisconsin, we call that "Tuesday."

The upper midwest really IS behind the times - closer to the coast they are calling it "Wednesday".

But apparently this one city in Georgia is ahead of the times, and calling it "Thursday".

No, it actually looked closer to what it was on Tuesday, because that was when the arctic blast with the freezing rain came through.

Um... Sorry if this is a dumb question, because I don't really know a lot of slang used on the internet, but... What the heck is "Januaru?"

Sorry, the video is in French, but it is oh so à propos:

https://www.meteomedia.com/ca/videos/ga ... st_popular

The cliff notes:
Every time it snows, we find all kinds of snowmen about. This time, when a little over a foot of snow fell on Montreal, a resident jokester wanted to play a prank on the snow removal crews (they post, ahead of time, placards saying what time will be the snow removal, and parking is illegal on that side of the road during that time period - ex. 7am to 7pm). Instead, he caught the attention of a police car, and got a ticket! (Ticket reads: you made our evening. Ha hahahaha.)

That's too cute(and something I wish I would have thought of back when I lived in Indiana).
