By the way, we've seen Shel in that jacket before, but it also was in a Pablo special sketch.

The jacket fits her surprisingly well. She IS pretty buff for a teen, and the jacket IS from Shelly's youth; but it might be better if it were a bit baggy so she'd have room to grow into it.

BTW- (keeping in mind Castela is one of the few characters in-strip with almost complete autonomy over her external experience...)

I'm thinking Castela will both Lengthen & Lean Out as she matures. (in other words; it should still fit, later...)

Absolutely nothing wrong w/ her rocking the strong babe attributes, but I think the future holds some more metamorphosis'es.

Au contraire! Shel wore the jacket to Mucho Mocha on 2014-12-08. On that date, Becky was covering the store while Tina battled the flu.

It's hard to say for certain what with the changes in art style and the variable attention to detail, but it could be the same jacket first seen when Shelly had that nightmare with Heather and went to talk to Monica about it late at night, or from about a year later when Heather stopped by Shelly's place with coffee and doughnuts. Or possibly the one she was wearing when she and Tina were talking about Tina being scared of the "creepy little girl" in Shelly's mind (and also her fear of stubbing her toes). It doesn't seem to have the stripes, but that could be just the lack of them being drawn.

At least One of Shelly's jackets have stripes on both sleeves.

This current Hand Me Over jacket has stripes only on one sleeve.
