Hmmm... Il y a anguille sous roche...

(Literally, there are eels under the rocks.)

A good equivalent would be to say that something fishy is going on...

The plot thins.

The question is: Who does she want to crash into this sirens rack, er, rocks?

I do think our little stinkweed has been discussing something devious with the Capparis spinosa in the next pot over...

Atsali will no longer let herself be thought of as princess?

Sorry, princess. You have no control of, and very little influence on, what others think of you.

Well... maybe yes, maybe no. She probably could get people to stop thinking of her (and calling her) "princess" fairly easily.

This would, however, require that she accept that everybody would be thinking of her as "My passionate lust-goddess who I worship with all of my heart (and all of my erogenous zones as well)". (She's a full-powered Siren, after all.)

I doubt she would see that as an improvement.

Better for her to choose, and semi-formally appoint a successor as the school "queen bee". Hmmm... maybe that's what Castela is angling for... a "passing of the torch" from the elder sister to the younger, transferring all of the mana of Atsali's association with Monica and the rest of the uber-paras?

This plot isn't just thickening, it's positively congealing . . .

Yea she is pretty well stuck with the princess title for a while. Would not surprise me at all if this was a retaliatory strike over Timmy.

So we've gone from Castela discussing her own looks to Castela trying to get Atsali to flaunt Atsali's looks. There's a common theme, but how it all ties together is still a mystery. I suspect much plotting is afoot.

Well, they are going to the pool, though most artificial swimming pools lack eels and fish. Now if the eels get into the hovercrafts, then there might end up being all sorts of humourous misunderstandings going on.

I think that Atsali is referring to her unofficial title of "royalty" that she ended up stuck with in high school. She's out of high school now, and getting ready to head off to a totally new social order in college. So in that regard, she's now titleless. (It's my understanding that a lot of the kids who were big names in high school get quite the shock when they get to college and find that nobody cares about them)

Of course, her over-all social status in paranormal society and within her circle of friends and family is still unchanged. . .

It looked to me as though she had pretty much accepted that Timmy wasn't going to be with her and that he was interested in Scarlet, and that she was mainly upset with herself for her previous treatment of Timmy and blamed herself for keeping him distant. I don't really see much motivation for retaliation. For general pranking, on the other hand. . .

The 'Weed is up to something. But what? It can't be romantic, she wouldn't try to break up Atsali and Nadette. I doubt she's trying to provoke another 'Madam, cover yourself" response from pool management. Since she started out talking about Atsali being a Princess in college this desire to show off more big sister flesh might have something to do with that, but what? If she's still following her strategy of trying to counter Atsali's separation anxiety and unease about change by pranking her, there might be looming embarrassment in the future. We'll see.

In the last panel it looks like Castela is developing some boobage herself. Some girls at that stage are rather self-conscious about it (one wouldn't think Castela would be one for that, but there's seriously no telling) and maybe she wants to make sure everyone is looking at someone else's chest.

(The other complication being that Castela could, possibly after some practice, rearrange her vines into whatever form she likes.)

...and she watched Castela hit puberty, remembering her own adventures in that regard.
