Blushing Katherine is cute...
Digit is funny and adorable, in her cluelessness...

What are the chances that someone named "Digit" could do tricks with their
fingers?

Digit truly is paranormal with such a magical power.

I see the problem as being Digit does not know enough about being human yet to make definitive statements about how it compares to being a spider. One difference I can definitely see the the means of locomotion between bipedal humans and whatever you call how spiders walk. Human balance is a continuous process even when we stand still or sit down, spiders just have to hold themselves off the ground. There's more than that but that alone could and has filled volumes.

Next thing you know, she'll be "stealing noses!"

Digit was a "spider on the wall" in the Library for quite some time. Apparently she was able to pick up spoken English (and maybe even written English) that way. Given the cosmopolitan nature of the Library, and its wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey connection to the rest of the Universe, it's plausible that Digit might have learned other languages as well. Maybe even classical Greek.
So, when it comes to "magic tricks", she might be able to startle Kath by pulling a Koine from her ear.

It's amusing that Monica apparently literally warned Digit about Katherine . . .
Digit, suggesting an exchange of information where she tells you about being human might be a useful technique; as an academic, Katherine would be used to exchanges of that sort.

Perhaps Katherine can teach Digit some of those textile-making techniques.

The textiles Katherine specialises in are MesoAmerican, i think - flax, woool, etc,
Maybe Digit could teach her how to make silk.

Well, she recognised those tunics as being of an Old Kingdom Egyptian pattern weave, so at the very least she has a good overview of other cultures.

Neither does Digit. She knows how to make spiderweb but lacks the organs to do so. Although from what I've read she does, but they are adapted to do something else. Mammary glands can produce silk when genetically modified to produce that protein.

Point is, a spider doesn't 'know' how to make silk, any more than a pregnant mother 'knows' how they make breast milk...
