Hmmm . . . somehow I didn't see Digit as a golden blonde.

Her color was more like that of Castela's, in the other images... Maybe this is strictly related to the glamour? (The same way Atsali's skin colour changes, depending on the image...)

Right. I was seeing Digit as more of a platinum or ash blonde.

May I ask what the difference is?

You know what? Forget that... I'm not going to ask permission to ask...

So, what exactly is the difference, then?

There once was a spider named Digit
with an amulet one day did she fidget
Fae majick then rumbled
and suddenly tumbled
her into a human-tween-widget!

Now her status- well, she didn't pick it
in fact it's a bad sticky wicket
her face gets all spidy
with no means to hidy
if she dares to eat a dumb cricket!

Well Paul assures us all is calm
and this might get weird but not wrong
while her species' laid by
as a human she'll try-
At least she has M as a Mom...

... thank you, thank you, no applause, just throw cash- Dave, no- do NOT throw your BVDs up here, I will find you and punishment will be swift and severe. Yes folks, I'll be here 'till Monday- try the filet of sole-

None, actually.

Personal preference.

My first wife saw Tom Paxton at a club in Atlanta, Banks & Shane's, which was at the time the home base for the then-current incarnation of the Kingston Trio (though the "Shane" was not Bob Shane of the KT) - around 1986 or so. I was working second shift at Hayes in those days, so i didn't. (Though i have seen him more than once since.)

Anyway, she said that Paxton announced that he was going to close his performance with "...the oldest song I wrote that I still do, 'The Marvelous Toy' - and I don't want any full-grown adults coming up to me after the show and telling me how much they loved it when they were in the second grade - and a touching ditty I call 'Be Sure to Remember Your Waitress (or Be Sure She Will Remember YOU)'."

Given the coloring of female jumping spiders, i'd have expected her human-dorm hair to match her spider-form hair - iron-grey, like Kylie in 6-Gun Mage.

My memory is kind of poor regarding the subject, but was it ever established what species of jumping spider Digit was?

Whatever it was, she'd have been massive for a jumping spider. The largest I'd seen was the daring jumping spider I saw earlier today, and it was about 2cm in length. A female, I believe. (I looked them up on Wikipedia; apparently the iridescent parts on their faces are blue on males of the species, and green on the females.)
