A place to discuss the world of Wapsi Square

Apparently some variety of magic user (or tech user of the "Any sufficiently advanced technology..." sort). I don't think that's Lanthian Glyph she's using, though.AmriloJim wrote:She's a teacher at Gryphon Elementary... I'd say the real question is what is Ms. Alger?
Thanks for the reminder. I always forget...AmriloJim wrote:BTW, this version of phpBB does not automatically switch over to DST. Vist your User Control Panel to switch DST "on".
I thought she was the swim teacher. Nope that was Mrs Adler. http://wapsisquare.com/comic/do-a-lap/AmriloJim wrote:She's a teacher at Gryphon Elementary... I'd say the real question is what is Ms. Alger?
Does she weigh less than a duck?Dave wrote:Apparently some variety of magic user (or tech user of the "Any sufficiently advanced technology..." sort). What's the union situation in Minneapolis? Could she get in trouble for doing work that the Custodians and Maintenance Workers union is supposed to do?What worries me is her possible motives. She clearly didn't want anybody to see her using her Power... and she is secretly left-handed.
Speaking as a left-handed person, i resemble that remark. There's definitely something sinister occurring here.
Perhaps a dash of Exiern, Melvin Chronicles, and a pinch of Wotch ? (for the reference of being turned into the 'Opposite Sex')Dr. Otter wrote:Hmmm... With the geometric appearance of that spell and the consequences of a repeat offense, it looks like an amalgam of Grrrl Power, El Goonish Shive, and Wapsi Square.
Not necessary. Being turned into the opposite sex for a month comes directly from the early days of EGS.TheDOCTOR wrote:Perhaps a dash of Exiern, Melvin Chronicles, and a pinch of Wotch ? Don't think so. Getting a distinct impression of mage or the like (or as someone else said Sufficiently Advanced Technology). Time shift'd be kind of unnecessary for concrete work.GlytchMeister wrote:This had better not be local time manipulation being used to repair the wall. Because, in this comic's universe, it is fairly well understood that messing with time is a BAD IDEA.
From the sound of things, seems she is the sort of paranormal responsible for legends of curses for breaking into sealed places, and she shouldn't be using this power at school. Guessing the repair/sealing and curse powers are tied together.AmriloJim wrote:She's a teacher at Gryphon Elementary... I'd say the real question is what is Ms. Alger?

Before the week's out, I'll bet.Armorlord wrote:From the sound of things, seems she is the sort of paranormal responsible for legends of curses for breaking into sealed places, and she shouldn't be using this power at school. That wall is gonna be a story landmine at some point.
