Once again, we see that a person is usually their own worst critic...

Unlike most basket cases, she can literally weave herself into a basket.

And now Lit's song, "My Own Worst Enemy" suddenly comes to mind.

I want a do-over posting. I want a nice pin-up of Devyn eating cake.

Bring this one back on Monday, okay? Monday's shot anyway.

... and her memory persists in reminding her that he really did want to hang with her ... that he did think she was worth it ...

... and that surely make her self-recriminations all the more biting.

On reflection, I suppose that her situation isn't actually all that bad, relatively speaking. Most tweens her age are unstable bombs.

And the tears in her clothes from the meltdown are back. Meaning at least part of her appearance is a glamour.

RE her clothes: In panel one they're torn, in panel two the hole in her sleeve at least is gone. Either artistic error or something weird is going on.

Not sure . . . her position is enough different the hole in her sleeve might have pulled closed or shifted behind a wrinkle.

No, I think that they've been ongoing for quite a long while. Just look at that outburst just before Scarlet showed up. Perhaps the foundations of some of the emotional bulwarks she's built up to cope are now crumbling away.
