Maybe Castela should consider an acting major, later on... (Although I'm pretty sure it's been established she won't...) She sure can pretend like nobody's business!

Scary. She's - well, "smarter" isn't the word - maybe "more mature"? - than Atsali.

She and Connie need to compare notes on the "designated guardian" thing...

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. I am, unfortunately, unconvinced she is really doing this because it's nice. There is still room for her to be biding her time until there are no witnesses before she kicks his ass.

It feels strange expressing doubts about her character, morality, and integrity... Because one of my characters in the fanfic looks at her like some kind of cousin or something.

And here I was going to say 'looks like the blackthorn genes overcame the horomones.'

Though, she did have an ah-hah moment yesterday.

News flash! Castela is really a Rock-em Sock-em robot! And while she talks of beating Timothy up, she's really the one who got socked!

This was the same girl from Monday and Tuesday?! Either she has some extraordinary emotional control for a tween, she's up to something or both.

I find myself hoping that this is sour grapes, and the rest of it was a cathartic private "rabid kale" tantrum to clear her system.

A private meltdown at home followed by brownies, milk and gallons of ice cream are in the near future methinks

Could be, but... she already almost had a temper-boilover when Timmy took off with Scarlet "because I've been told five times it's not a date", then got control of herself and called herself an idiot.

I think she realized at that point that

• She had held him at a distance a bit too effectively, and
• perhaps as a result of doing so over the years, he wasn't attached to her romantically and didn't see her as anything more than a friend, and
• it wasn't the right time to change any of the above.

When she saw (and heard, probably) what went on, she saw that she was really too late to change the situation she had created. If she heard Timothy say that he been crushing on Scarlet for years... well, that was a message that she'd lost the battle long ago.

Yeah, she had a meltdown, but then I suspect she saw the implications of continuing down that path... she'd only drive Timmy further away if she made a fuss.

Whether she's saying what she's saying now to "be nice", or to salvage as much of her relationship with Timmy as she can... or just to save face and keep her pain for a long private cry-session at a later time, or all of the above... that remains to be seen.

And yet we see another case of 11 going on 110.

Now all we need is for Timothy to be thinking, "Wait. . .why isn't she interested in me? What's wrong with me? Am I not good enough for her?!?"

I think she's already had the meltdown . . . at least emotionally.

Now I think she needs to talk it out with either Bud or Phix . . . Castela's relationship to Katherine isn't quite right for this.

Being male, he's more likely to be thinking "Scarlet was wrong, Castela doesn't feel any romantic feelings towards me."
