H.L. Mencken said "No-one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public," (or words to that effect).
Yeah.
Holocaust Museum Bans Pokémon Go
The Daily Beast wrote:The Holocaust Museum wants no part of the new Pokémon GO craze. The Washington, D.C., museum is barring users from catching the augmented-reality creatures in their solemn halls. “Playing the game is not appropriate in the museum, which is a memorial to the victims of Nazism,” the museum’s communications director said. “We are trying to find out if we can get the museum excluded from the game.” One user noticed {see below-FPF} that a Pokémon that emits poisonous gas is stationed in front of an auditorium in the museum where attendees learn about the gas chambers many Jews were placed in.
Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.
If that was due to a randomly-generated "Pokemon Placement" software engine, it's certainly unfortunate... like randomly-generated license plates and other identifiers, and accidental typos which generate a Nasty Word. No evil intent, but easy to take as offensive. Places like the Holocaust Museum, funeral homes, and other sensitive locations really ought to be excluded from automatic "participation" in games/experiments like this.
If somebody did that deliberately... damn, they ought to be ashamed. And, quite possibly, fired.

Agree... and if someone's offering me the job of assembling a comprehensive list of such places, I decline the position.
