I have often seen footage of these things where some burly fellow rams into it to throw it off-balance and it recovers... can you imagine the reaction when one of them recovers and then kicks the offending human in the ass?

That's the robot that becomes Skynet and sends Arnold Schwarzenegger to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor.

And I doubt the A.I. slaves would be any happier than any human slave.
Your comments remind me very much of The Measure Of A Man, which I think is one of the best "Star Trek - Next Generation" episodes ever aired.

Some of the dialog (see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708807/tri ... =tt_trv_qu) still gives me chills. BBC America re-ran it recently, and I still can't forgive them for cutting out the whole discussion between Riker and Data at the end of the story.

Lets see,... ^ Well, that works, but I was hoping to put an arrow shaft under it, like this- --->

I have a bad habit of posting off the top of my head without actually producing the thing in question. I'll work on that.

btw- the ST:NG episode quotes where very well received, it was a flash-back indeed...
