Castela sure can play the sarcasm card, can't she...

Who is this old person and why does she look like Castela?

Read it three times, now...
I'm guessing Nadette's reactions next will be very important to the future of their relationship. Will Nadette be mature enough to go beyond infatuation, to seeing Atsali as a whole, and accept that there are parts of Atsali with which she cannot relate, but that those are what make Atsali a 3D person, not just a pretty cardboard cutout?
Can she weather this out? This looks like it's turning out like an opportunity for Nadette to grow, and possibly for their relationship to get even stronger (or go bust, if Nadette can't follow quickly enough...)

An old person may or may not display slightly more tact...

She's Castela, but she's been studying with Dinsdale Piranha.
She's using... sarcasm.

... but... I thought her bust WAS what she was going for...

That sounds like Tanta Nudge . . .
. . .
Castela was talking to Tanta Nudge earlier . . . does Castela have a bluetooth earpiece tied to her phone and hidden somewhere so she can talk to Nudge without anyone else knowing?

hmmmmmm ... i am not so sure how predator is exactly defined, but being an ursamorph ( from ursa - bear ) makes me think that they aren't necessarily bevies either. it simply depends on which side of the ursa you get, grizzly or panda, i guess.

The Ursidae are a good example of why binary either/or categorizing doesn't work so well. Most of them aren't pure predators, nor are they pure herbivores (neither preds nor bevies). Like humans, many bears are generalist opportunistic omnivores.
They eat whatever's conveeeeeenient.
(although I'm not sure whether there's a sub-species which specializes in eating church ladies...)

I think she's been hanging out with Connie. And maybe Nudge.

On a slightly-less-potentially-fatal, kid-{un}friendly scale, this is what Nudge pulled on Monica (and got herself tossed into a volcano for).

I will point out how that whole Nudge-in-volcano worked out . . .

This could be a great learning experience for Nadette. If she trys to do something akin to what happened with Nudge she could discover a whole level of predator she has yet to encounter. Yes she did see the little stinkweed do a dance on a Fae but i don't believe she has ever seen Castela in any kind of a combat mode.

I am also starting to suspect that Flight Team involves more than just formation flying and aerobatics.

First Rule of Flight Team - You Don't Talk About Flight Team.

My major problem: I always thought bears were omnivores - and most DEFINITELY "predators."
