Yeah, I think it's the whole "two para-heritage" thing.

Between the stars and the dialog that must have been a painful transformation for Atsali. Forcing past the talisman has to hurt.

Somehow, I get the feeling that Nadette enjoyed making that point...

In my experience it is not what was said, but how it was said that made the biggest impact.

So apparently horns and bat wings are more uncomfortable to produce than are bird wings. Perhaps the feathers help to cushion things. Or else she's just had all of those years to get used to the avian appendages, and she just hasn't worn in her new wings yet.

Y'know, if she were to sprout all four wings at once, then she'd be eight-limbed. No wonder Katherine showed such an interest in her.

yes for we older gentlemen it does often require a bit of assistance however i seem to remember as a young teenage male the mere act of breathing sometimes resulted in that.

Atsali's problem is definitely not restricted to those of her gender.

Well then ... this would go a long way toward explaining why she is attracted to both genders. Also why she is currently attracted to a female. Dad's hormones have been playing with her feelings for a while now it would seem. A succubus and incubus are all about sex. Let's hope there isn't any satyr in her heritage as well. Surprising she doesn't grow male genitals during this period as well, given the other male physical manifestations she is displaying. Assuming the bat wings and horns are associated with her male half and the feathered wings and bird legs and feet are associated with her female half. Could give transgender a whole new meaning. Or would it be bi-gender? Gender fluid?

All in all though she seems to maintain her female self over her male self, such that she would still consider herself female overall. Others would as well. No boob shrinkage in all this and no male genitalia sprouting (as far as we know).

From what I've heard (make that 'read'...) she isn't Hermaphroditic, despite being a hybrid of two seemingly hyper-sexual 'breeds', & despite her being attracted to either gender.

From what I've seen recently Atsali does exhibit an increase in her sexual characteristics when this recent Dad's-Side is kicking in, but it doesn't appear to morph her towards a male aspect, just a Dad's-Side aspect.

In other words, yes she exhibits a change, but not a sex-change...

Remember, her dad was an Incubus, but she is half-succubus. Incubus and Succubus are the same species... Just male and female, respectively.

I propose "Cubus" be the species name, to avoid confusion? We seem to be tripping over that. I know I am, on at least a linguistic/grammatical level.
