I wonder how many odd looks they get for being a guy in his 30s and his apparently 18yo-ish girlfriend?

If they are going to make this last, they better get used to it, cause it is just going to get worse.

It is amusing, I assure you- first time I took Annie out to dinner, the saucy little Seniorita that greeted us asked,

"You and your Daughter, Sir?"

Annie blushed. I laughed out loud. The little Seniorita went crimson when she realized her mistake.
It was an excellent meal- I left a good tip. It is only a problem if you want it to be

Indeed. And it can work both ways, too. The mature woman can be proud of snagging a young buck, too.
...
Or the older man can be proud of snagging a young buck, or the mature woman can be proud of snagging a youthful maiden, or etc. etc...

That situation is fine with us since we tell ourselves that it doesn't necessarily imply that I am old, but that my lovely wife looks very young. Much worse was when I was peering through the Nursery window at our firstborn daughter, and a kind lady next to me asked if she were my granddaughter. It's kinda hard to attribute that to a newborn looking particularly young.

Better than having a guy who's known you since at least fourth grade insist that the guy in the photo isn't you, it's some else who's at least ten years older than you . . .

...People still think I'm in high school just by looking at me...

...I'm 20+ years old...

I have been getting Senior discounts since the late 1990s without even asking and I'm still not old enough for most of them. You might say I lived a rough life. :ugeek:

Sarge, you're what, in your 60's? Lessee... If you bred at 18 and your kid bred at 18 you'd be a grandfather by 36-38.

*smirk*

Add 20ish years to make that 56-58. Sorry, bub, you're granddaddy material. In fact, if I had bred by 18, you'd be great-granddaddy material with a few years to spare.
