And that's why I think she might be snapping. Excessive paranoia... Is that a symptom of major ptsd?

And I apologize in advance if my usage of terms like "unhinged" or "snapping" come off as insensitive, coarse, and offensive. I grew up in a house of crazy people, afflicted with a variety of mental illnesses. I got lucky, all I got was some AD(H)D, a bit of depression, and some mad-scientist-itis.
Anyway, everyone seemed ok with using terms like that on themselves.

She ran, and it triggered their chase reflex, silly.

In all seriousness, she can call hellfire, and teleport things, and is immortal. And she's running from... Butterflies?

How do you fight butterflies and not look like a complete bastard?
;)

Easy. Put up warning posters that the local butterfly population is capable of carrying an antibiotic-resistant flesh-eating bacteria. Type a super long, bogus url to some scientific journal. Then sit back and watch the show.

:twisted:

By the time someone gets around to actually typing in the url, someone might start doing the job for you

Just like Jet, they long to get, close to M.

I reference this certain film all the time; it's got Sandra Oh in it and she's noticing the vegetation in a foreign country and she says to Frances (played by Diane Lane)
Patti: There's something strange about these trees. It's like they know.
Frances: And they know that we know that they know.
Patti: They're creepy. Creepy Italian trees. Of course, the baby's going to like them cause it's going to be a creepy Italian baby who goes around saying things like 'Ciao mama' and doing that weird backward hand wave thing.

Life is strange.
I recall the 'creepy Italian trees' line all the time.

In This instance I am reminiscent of another character's own reminiscence;
Katherine: Never lose your childish innocence. It's the most important thing.
But more illustrative to today's strip;
Katherine: Listen, when I was a little girl I used to spend hours looking for ladybugs. Finally, I'd just give up and fall asleep in the grass. When I woke up, they were crawling all over me.

And after a rather successful 'outing', rather 'rendezvous, our Frances reports back;
Ladybugs, Katherine. Lots and lots of ladybugs.

And then, there is that sequence in Avatar where the male protagonist is lit upon by 'Aweh's Dandelion/Air-Anemone thingies.

edit-( sorry, lets make that air-borne jellyfish, or something like that...)

They aren't actually butterflies. They're the nocturnal equivalent, who flock around Monica because to them she shines as bright as a goddess of the sun.

She's not just the Jaguar Girl. She's also Moth Ra.
