Cat on a cold shingle roof

When i set out to pick up Kate for lunch at 1245, i spotted it. All i had was my phone, so i did a (typically unsatisfactory) grab shot:

Arriving home at 1315 ... it was still there, surveying its vast domains in lordly fashion. So i ducked inside, grabbed the Nikon and the long zoom, and:

(As to the "cold" part - low 50s F and raining for about eighteen hours...)

not the only cat in the frame.

It looks like that car is a mercury cougar, my guess is late '80s or early '90s. Oddly enough there's one in my backyard that's the same color. But it's really just spent more than a decade deteriorating and holding some of the excess junk we've accumulated throughout the years.

That one seems to be in the process of deteriorating - it hasn't moved an inch in six or more months.

My cat never seems to do that. The only thing that comes close is when he's sleepy.

Yeah, especially when you are wiping down their paws and coat, testing a theory about what is bothering them.
