Cordite as pigment? Nitroglycerine as a substitute for dammar varnish and stand oil?DinkyInky wrote:If I feel better tomorrow, I'll unbury my art supply box...it's relevant to the topic.
Today's page of that comic also has more than a bit of the Mustela in it:

I warned Miss Annie the lock on that cage was weak, but Noooooo...they never listen...
Some locks are surprisingly easy to pick. I trained myself to pick a lock with a small screwdriver (to provide tension) and a paper clip (flattened by a hammer and bent into a zig zag with needle nose pliers).Sgt. People can be weird like that. A while back, I was walking along in one of my old field jackets. Some guy and his girlfriend (they looked to be in college) came up to me, and the guy asked where I got it and if there might be any more in stock. I told him that I got it by enlisting and that he could always try doing the same, but apparently that didn't appeal to him. Instead he asked me how much I wanted for it.DinkyInky wrote:Yup. Art supply box. Oddly enough, people have offered me stupid amounts of money for it. Dunno why.

$1,500 + amounts of stupid. I was told it was a box of AK ammo pre ban. I'm sure Sarge could drum up the exact tool the ammo listed on my box goes to.Catawampus wrote:People can be weird like that. I said two-hundred dollars, just joking with him.
He ran off with the girl, and I went on my way. A few minutes later, they came out of a bank and ran up to me, and he handed me $200. So I went ahead and gave him the jacket, which I could probably buy twenty of for that price in some surplus store.
I have two or three more of them in my closet. Perhaps I should put them away in a safe as future savings.
