If I understand comic conventions at all, the tail reacted to Atsali's comments and Castella NOTICED that!
I still say Nadette can kiss it and make it feel better...

I'm guessing Nadette won't be able to keep her hands off it either.

Kinda wish is was one of those thin line tails, then Nadette could like curl it around one of her fingers. This way she could only curl it around an arm. Unless she made her hand giant, but I don't think that'd be to seductive. lol

Hmm, so just how autonomous is The Tail, then? If it has too much of a mind of its own, then that could get awkward if it ends up with an agenda differing from Atsali's. Or if it just gets bored. . .are idle tails to Whatsits what idle hands are supposed to be for devils?

I've sometimes wondered where the idea of pointy barbed tails like that on devils or whatnot came from. I've never seen any actual critter who has appendages of that shape.

Well, they say that for good health you have to learn to listen to your body. Perhaps with certain paras, it works both ways?

The closest I know of, is a long-extinct family of pterosaurs.

Since medieval writers probably were not aware of those beasties, I suspect the popular imagery comes mostly from inventive imaginations. Read through an old bestiary and you will see even weirder beasts portrayed. "What would a bat's tail look like, if it has something like a tuft of feathers at the end, but without feathers?"f

humm, if the tail is semi sentient could this be a tail of two critters?

I've seen European illustrations that showed demons/devils with forked tails...

i think that Modest Medusa's snakes-for-hair would be more appropriate, especially when they get better grades on tests than Modest does! we'll just have to wait out the cliff-hanger weekend to find out what will happen at school...
