I must say. My two favorite characters in a comic together is always a very good thing. :3

Jin is so good at the "What the hell can I do?" eye-roll.

You're right, Atsali's glasses disappear in the third panel. (Now watch Pablo "fix" it by morning.)

He shouldn't 'fix' anything.

Atsali swept them off in a flourish of enthusiastic cheezing...

I found when i was an instructor that the best way to learn something was to try and teach it to someone else. so my question is who exactly is mentoring who here?

So what happened to Devyn, Tara and Jordan? Are we done with them now?
I am going to take a wild guess and say the point of that last side trip down to crazy town was just character development for Devyn so we will know what her abilities are the next time she interacts with the main characters.

I'm guessing Jordan and Tara are just extras aka random students at the paranormal school. Jordan ran home to seek solace in a carton of chocolate ice cream (or the paranormal equivalent) and Tara is still wandering around looking for the little bear she lost. I can't help but wonder if we will see them again or not. If we do will they still be in the same state of mind and will any of the readers remember them why Jordan is crying and Tara is looking for a bear. . .cause it might be a while--just sayin.

That's certainly a reasonable guess... for the short term.

In the medium term, if we see them again after a few weeks or months, I doubt they'll be in the same frames of mind, but we may very well get to see how they've reacted to, and internalized the effects of their recent experience. We may see some changes and growth. Wapsi's story-telling style admits for a lot of "off-camera" activity and life by the characters... we don't always see every step along the way.

In the long term... who knows? We've repeatedly seen Paul write story-lines which "reach back" several years in the past, and connect to (and are anchored by) small and seemingly-disconnected bits of information and plot that didn't seem to "go anywhere" at the time. For all we can tell, he has plans for Tara and Jordon, and he's been doing some set-up here for parts of the story we may not see for two or three years.

Consider this: with this little trip into The Other Side Of Depression, he's not only given us a deeper insight into Devyn's nature and character, but has added two more Teen Paras to the collective and given us at least a glimpse into their personalities and background. We don't know a lot about either Tara or Jordan now, but we know enough to be able to recognize them as individuals with different personalities and we know at least a little about why Jordon was acting as she was.

Case-in-point for Dave: you know how long it was between Georgette's first appearance and second? Believe it or not, about eight months (First appearance was August of 2005; second was February of 2006).

Guess when we next saw Georgette? Four years later. And then, she was gone - for another three years.

Pablo don't know "fast".

Keep in mind that comic time is very very long, or short, when it needs to be. I remember another strip (whose name I forget) where two characters found themselves in a bathtub together, and their evening's conversation took the better part of a year to transpire.

YMMV!

Oh, I think he knows "fast". He's been dumping us on our heads with lightspeed bootlegger turns for a long, long time. :)

He just isn't limited to "fast". Wapsi Square has big rewards for those readers who have an extensible attention span. Those rewards are often missed by readers of a less patient nature.

Well, this page did jump us to the tail end of conversation of indeterminate length.
