Nice burnt out chapel, there...

EDIT: And I thought we were in Minneapolis, not Detroit?

EDIT 2: Okay, it does look like an abandoned greenhouse. Don't make it any less spooky.

A cry for help and Devyn vanishes, or was the order the other way around? :ugeek:

List of things that DO NOT bode well in a dark world:
  • burnt out buildings
    decaying architecture
    disappearing residents
    the smell of decay
    that smell
    chittering and skittering sounds
the person who brought you there disappearing
    random cries for help
    forest with swamp or bog
the boiler room (any boiler room)
And the last one can be either a trap or they're about to bear witness to something horiffic.

Suggested read; 'An Open Door'

It's a surprisingly good crossover using Kingdom Hearts and Silent Hill.

I'm sorta thinking that this place may be older, darker, and less comfortable than either of those newcomers.

Devyn is a Helead, with deep connections to the fens and marshes. She's a niece of Poseidon, god of the oceans. There's an ancient and very dark place which partakes of both of these.

This place might just be a suburb of R'lyeh.

One of the friendlier suburbs. Our two young tormentors have been there for at least ten seconds, and neither of them has had her soul torn out in shreds and noisily consumed by something horrible.

Respond, ignore, or run. In R'lyeh, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Literally.

*random defunct Wurlitzer starts playing the Puppet Master theme slightly off key, occassionally switching over to 'Funeral March for a Marionette' and back again*

"It came from down there - from the boiler room."

Speaking of which, we've seen Connie do the black eyes thing, i think. And maybe Jin's hallucination(?) while she and Alan were snowmobiling.

Thats when then young ladies start clicking them heals together chanting "there's no place like home!". Or to quote and old joke, "wheres the back door? Rev they aint one. Where you think they want one?"

I'm kind of intrigued...but nervous given my tendencies towards night terrors. I may have to at least look into this if not read it entirely. :)

They are in a Victorian iron-framed greenhouse.

Don't go down there! It's Audrey and Seymour, and you can't help them!
