So I'm wondering...are these little explosions? Or are they yet another form of teleportation? Or is it a transformation?

And what are they tied to? Castela imagining the object being blown up? Or her energetically smacking something?

She'd make a great advertising spokescritter for "Toys 'R Not."

I don't see any indication of speed in the placing the hand over the toy, so it has to be something else.

Hmmm, maybe they are being Teleported somewhere...

I interpreted it as instant plasmafication (if that isn't a word it should be) with sparks flying off.

That reminds me of one of the few rules of magic I keep seeing in various stories: causing something to truly cease to exist (a la breaking the universal law of conservation of mass/energy) is really, really bad.
Two notable examples include
The Belgariad/Malloreon where one of the head priests of Torak... I think they were called Grolims or something... Tried to will the maguffin Orb of Aldur out of existence by saying "Be Not". The Universe exploded him violently.
And
The Inheritance Trilogy where a magic user can say "Be Not" in the ancient language in reference to one's own body. The effect is similar, but also causes heavy radioactive(?) contamination of the surrounding area.

I'd be really impressed if Castela could actually pull off the "Be Not" spell without the Universe fighting back or blowing up the surrounding city or something.

Now the first question is does Kath get on her for cussing or just nod and say yep? Not worried where they went, she just set up a shot cut to Stali's boob space universe. It kinda reminds me of that kid in Alan Dean Fosters "with friends like these". He shook his stick at the "bad mans" and they just went away.

Sort of an anti-Picard incantation: you say "Make it not so", and the Universe awards you with a triple facepalm, right between the eyes.

Betcha Mom didn't get ANY mention of THAT in PARENTING for PARANORMALS class... and she's probably about to pee right where she is...

While Castela is looking past my right shoulder, Kath seems to be looking past my left.
I can see why Castela is miffed at losing her toys, but I'm mystified by what Kath seems to be seeing that hasn't attracted Castela's attention.

That moment when you suddenly realize that you are in way over your head . . . it happens to every parent at one point or another.

Looks like it is time for a quick trip to the library for additional research on paranormal gardening and horticulture.

If Pickle's eyes were any wider, they'd leave her face. Oh wait, they can already do that.
