Oh, joy! A proper classification for Tina! Plus, an unavoidable reason for Stheno to go out into the world.

"Nothing will ever be the same again..."

A bit like the story of a middle-aged mother who discovered her new neighbor was a superb cook. She reflected on her life to that point and realized she was merely avoiding starvation comfortably.

Okay, now the problem of those two in Mucho Mocha at the same time would be who to stare at with little hearts floating around my head...

So Tina is a close relative to Caffiena? Did you know there is a religious group devoted to Her worship? Seriously. :ugeek: :geek: :ugeek:

I forgot the oracle known as Google, who I consulted and found these electronic temples: http://silverdragon.5-cent.us/kate/javacrucianism.html and https://www.facebook.com/pages/Javacruc ... 3412647386

So... good pan-Mediterranean coffee-mud-made-in-a-pot-on-a-stick, I guess!

It sounds as if Stheno might just have a little bit in common with Katherine... she's been living "apart from the world" in some fashion, for some reason. Euryale seems to have decided to play the Temptress of Java (quite successfully I might add) and lure her older sister out of whatever metaphorical cave she's been living in.

No problem here. Stheno's dark, sultry look wins for me.

Actually, that's probably a somewhat degraded version of a line from Terry Pratchett's Witches Abroad, in which three witches travel from Bad Ass in the Ramtop Mountains of Lancre to Genua, the Diskworld's equivalent of New Orleans. I quoted it years ago in my review of a Louisiana cook book on Amazon.

(The cook book review includes a link to the Pratchett book on Amazon.)

One day, I was minding my own business. Then...

Tanzanian Peaberry.

Nothing has been the same ever since.

and the next line could be:

"Let's Do The Time-Warp Again... it's Just a Jump to the Left..."

I gotto go with the Euryale. I loved being hugged by pretty ladies. Of course first time a snake raised its head they would be wondering how Mercury got near them.

Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?

I actually kinda like snakes. I spent entirely too much time watching Steve Irwin as a child. So I'm totally ok with having snakes, lizards, and small animals near and on me. I'm not so cool with spiders though. That takes some mental preparation. And don't you dare put a crocodilian near me, because I just might trip you to get away from the ancient dinosaur-outlasting dragon thing that can bite my sorry butt in half. (Kinda like how I don't have to run faster than a bear, I just have to run faster than you.)

Anyway. I'd imagine I'd be ok with the gorgon sisters. I think I'll wear a bell so I can't suprise them...just in case.

In the stew of Waspi Square characters, Stheno is going to be the pepper. Or ginger. Or vinegar. It's a bit hard to tell, but she's certainly going to add something to the mix.

I assume if she keeps going to Mocha Mocha she'll eventually run into Jin, Bud, and the others and things will escalate from there.

I would imagine Euryale does this to her older sister a lot. And Stheno just grits her teeth and endures having fun.

Sitting comfortably in my observation bunker, I am not sure why these two are coming in for caffination- the older sis DEFINITELY needs something a bit more industrial than a hug- and I am not offering, just saying- maybe introduce her to the local goth population? She'd be right at home... if THIS is reserve forces for the pool, then we are looking at a mighty heady mix when it hits the fan...

That's the one! Specifically, from your source:
AnotherFairportfan wrote:In Terry Pratchett's wonderful fantasy novel, Witches Abroad, Nanny Ogg, one of three witches who have travelled to their world's equivalent of New Orleans, tastes a jambalaya a voodoo woman has cooked up. Up till then, we are told, she had believed herself an excellent cook. But, tasting this, she realises that all she's been doing is "...not starving as pleasantly as possible."

Hmm... Interesting theory. Let's put it to the test:

"Ah, what a beautiful day! Let's fight!"

"I'm feeling great, this morning! Let's fight!"

"I think that soup needs a little more salt... Let's fight!"

"What a darling little baby girl you have... Let's fight!"

"How much for the hot-dog?
- $1.50
- I'll have two, then. Let's fight!"

"I am at peace with the world! Let's fight!"

You know, I think she may be on to something!
