Lily must have had a feeling for Nadette's motives.

Nadette's correct response is , "Got it in one!"

Do the benefits outweigh the disadvantages?

Well, one - they're both alive (for the moment)...

The reason Nadette did this, despite secondary motives. When Sali's wings came out her clothes were shredded. Nadette was having trouble holding on and wanted to help Sali from being force to fly naked, or at least getting sunburned in unexpected places. So she wasn't saving Sali's life, just her dignity. The rest was a bonus. For Nadette she can make that claim and stick to her story. Sali doesn't need a story, she was busy saving both theri lifes. After all she was the one who put both of them in danger.

Nailed it right on the thumb! OK Gramma Lily, how did you know about this situation? Is this because vampires smell guilt?

Lily has been around for a long time. For at least a good portion of that time she has worked in law enforcement.

There are probably very few aspects of human (or near-human paranormal) behavior and motivation that she hasn't seen played out at least once or twice, in all those years.

Hsss

I foresee a certain amount of awkwardness next time Nadette has a face to blush with.

I like Lily's rather cynically amused expression.

Busted. Later, Nadette will go back in time to set the antimatter explosion trap to complete the stable time loop.

Oh yeah... Gramma Lily is all over this.

Having spent time as law enforcement, I always knew when someone was lying. Call it a sixth sense...

EDIT: I remembered this... http://wapsisquare.com/comic/trust-us/

Oh yeah... Lily is spot on. Nadette isn't fooling anyone... well, Atsali maybe...

If Lily didn't know Nadette was there, then who was she referring to when she said "you two"?

She knew that Nadette had been with Atsali back in Minneapolis, and that the two of them had simultaneously "taken off" somewhere when Lily went to get the car. Upon seeing Atsali again at Mapimi it would have been a logical conclusion to assume that Nadette had accompanied Atsali at least part way.

I interpret it as "you and your friend", not "the two of you standing there." Liky's words don't necessarily imply that she was aware that Nadette was still present, or even alive... just that she'd been involved in whatever happened.

Atsali has been doing all the fooling needed for this relationship. Nade has been hitting her with the Clue-by-Four, pretty regularly. And she still seems to not quite get it, or refuses to.

I think Lily may have just broken through with a clue-by-six.

A grandmother who it would not surprise me to have been there, done that and wore the tshirt. i just ain't buying that Atsali is as clueless as she acts. Nobody can kiss as good as she did to Berdine and not have done something similar before. I just aint buying this being her first rodeo.

Grandma Lily: "Do you have a tiny paranormal friend hiding in your cleavage?"

hmmm .... wild guess, or does Lily know of Calista (aka Princess Cricket) and her friendship with Atsali?

And if Lily does know, would it be via the MIB and I'm curious as to what that suggests?
