Agh, I was too slow! Congrats, you. I was gonna make a "Ctrl-Alt-Del" joke.

I have to pull the plug on my computer at work occasionally to do that. :(

Wow. I wish I could reboot that effectively. Even the first part of "shazowie" takes me a couple of hours and at least two cups of mondo-strong coffee, even without flu being part of the situation.

Reboot. I'll bet her software Daemons were hung up with a bad check-sum value. The all black eyes has to figure in this somewhere. I wonder if the eyes are going to be a state indicator for what status Tina is in. When Bia got her to be able to drean her eye symbols changed to a Glyph. So remember if we see them on Friday it will be a Glyph Hanger!

Well, now we know why Tina's injuries only last a day. Shutdown for the night and everything resets, would it work for a lost limb? Which means she hasn't been doing so for a long time, at least several days because of the incubation period. Wonder if there is something addictive about dreams.

Monica ought to be able to use this trick too. Suicide as a means to cure the common flu. Hope Monica hasn't done anything with her hair if she has to resort to it. Tina doesn't have that problem.

It's not suicide, in this case. It's more like a reboot, verses sleep mode, if we are keeping the computer metaphor. M, on the other hand, could do that. But, killing her self would be a bit hard, at this point.

Tina does a soft boot while M would do a hard boot.

That's a good analogy. It would seem Tina can do what Monica can do, revert to the body condition she had (the prior day?), but not quite so drastically. Not the condition she had at death, apparently, so I'm guessing the prior day, but it could be further back than that. All in all, it's interesting. Is she shifting back in time or what to do this? We know Monica's method and reset point, but what is Tina's? Can't be the point at which Nudge got her up and moving either as she was still in bad shape then as well. All we see from the comics in which she restarts is that it's akin to a furnace lighting up, but we haven't actually seen her regenerate physically in the process. I guess this means Tina also has a form of immortality.

This seems to undo what Bia did to/for her as well, so Bia may not be too happy about it. Question is, how did Shelly know it would work? Has G'ma been sharing information about Project Tina with her? And how is she going to explain all this to Becky if she decides to show up to work now? You know she's going to. Her demons are too bored not to.

Hmm ... a furnace lighting up? Astral fire? Who wields astral fire? Titans! And anyone with Phoenix blood!

Note that Bud and Shelly smelled astral fire after M recovered from "that last flash freezing", before the more complete, scar-removing take-out-heart.

Sounds like Tina has a similar thing going on? Titan heritage sufficient, or did Bia mess with (a) Pheonix?

A cold reboot does the trick huh?

I doubt it's a revert-to-previous-state, that would be more of a System Restore, but possibly the Flu germs cannot survive in an actually-dead body? From what we've seen does Tina even breathe while she's in off-mode? I'm guessing that without the demons actively prodding cellular metabolic functions they just sort of stop, and necrosis gets repaired at bootup time.

ie if Tina was left in off-mode for long enough she would start to whiff a bit. The demons mentioned getting her moving again after the car crash that killed her in the first place, and therefore probably had a fair bit of damage to repair before getting off the slab - And how long was her body dead for? I forget if it was ever mentioned in the comics. Did she scare the paramedics still at reception? Give the coroner a fright? The Mortician? Funeral director gave up and retired somewhere sunny?

A boot-time scan-and-fix (C:/TinaOS/system32 chktina /u /r) would explain why she was able to just walk away in a body that might have been little more than a hollowed out shell packed with sawdust, shattered bones and formaldehyde.

If Tina was an iPhone, she would have Reset All Settings.

I'm with Sideromelane -- this is a cold boot... terminating everything running and restarting the services... rather than M's "system restore" function. (As opposed to a warm boot "restart" which can allow some TSRs to stay running.)

Well there is still the issue of her bones being repaired as well in the process. So, either she has some sort of Wolverine-like restorative thing happening when she restarts or she reverts to a body state that is pre-injury. Given she seems to be instantly flu free here, symptoms and all, I would lean more towards her reverting than rapidly healing. Until we hear from Paul, however, it's open to conjecture.

Someone's still "inside" Tina, the way Nudge was inside her.

And whoever that individual "is" has the power to wield astral fire.

Problem is, Tina has a different OS than Monica's.
