Wapsi Square Forum

At the suggestion of Catawampus: this is a simple forum game that has people "vote" (once a day) to determine favorite/least favorite character. It's been used elsewhere on other web forums - mostly sports forums during the off-season.

Ah, but we have a different purpose:

The cast of Wapsi Square have decided to allow us, the denizens who watch their every move, to determine the "ruler" of the Island that was "found" by Monica and Jin. Who would be most successful at the job?

Rules:
1. You may only vote once a day. Don't cheat and create "alts" to defeat the purpose.

2. All characters start with the same number of votes: 10.

3. Every poster gets ONE upvote and ONE downvote a day. (A day is considered midnight Central Time in Minneapolis.)

a. To vote a character DOWN, you simply subtract one from the number in the brackets next to their name.
Example: [10] Amanda would become [9] Amanda.
b. To vote a character UP, you simply add one to the number in the brackets next to their name.
Example: [10] Alan would become [11] Alan.

4. To cast your vote:

a. Copy the previous poster's list, and paste it into a new post.
b. Use bold to indicate a plus vote, and italics to indicate a minus vote.
c. Post as usual.

5. When a character reaches 0 in their list, they are removed from the voting list. If you are the one "voting them off", indicate the drop by adding at the end of the list "== Character ELIMINATED ==".

6. In the case of ties, first priority goes to the first poster.

7. If, by Midnight June 27, there are still candidates, the top three will be chosen for a one-week "runoff".

a. The characters will be given 11, 10, and 9 votes, based on the number of votes they had at 11:59 PM CDT on June 27, 2014.
b. If two of the characters are tied, they will both be given 10 votes, while the other character will be given 11 or 9 votes.
c. If all three characters have the same number of votes, they will all be given 10 votes.
d. Voting will change to either one up vote OR one down vote. Not both. For example, you could vote Shelly +1, but you couldn't -1 to Monica.

8. Last Wapsi character standing is the new Mayor of Cafe U-296!

Well, Katherine is not only smart and quick to think on her feet, but she's also managed to survive being a (relatively) normalish squishy mortal human amongst the company of all sorts of formidable critters. Plus she seems to be quite capable of bossing around volatile paranormals.

Thup, on the other hand. . .I don't know exactly how anything she was involved in would be defined as "successful" and still leave much of an island behind.
