This may take quite a few slices of cake to get through.

Well, many restaurants have some kind of super chocolaty cake dessert named "death by chocolate" and the French refer to an orgasm as "la petite mort" (the little death) so make of that what you will.BarGamer wrote:I hope that's not a "chocolate orgasm" cake...
Perhaps Paul chose "Atsali and I" so that he wouldn't be objectivefying any of the women?AnotherFairportfan wrote:Minor quibble - "Atsali and me", because it's objective case.

The following may sound silly to some, and will definitely cement my place in the confusion corner, but I'll go ahead and say it anyway.MerchManDan wrote:"What the frack," eh? I gather Castela's been watching some Battlestar Galactica with Mama.
And preferably not with grapefruit juice as your beverage...Graymalkin wrote:All you need to cure your ills in life -- chicken soup and chocolate cake. (Although not at the same time.)

Grapefruit juice has substances in it which can interfere with the absorbtion or metabolism of many drugs. It should be avoided when taking medications, lest an accidental overdose or underdose occur.meisdadoo wrote:Chocolate, the poor man's Prozac.
Chicken soup the original "antibiotic"
and grapefruit juice....I don't even know
Or else Mama tends to use the phrase a lot herself when around the kids? Perhaps a bit of both.MerchManDan wrote:"What the frack," eh? I gather Castela's been watching some Battlestar Galactica with Mama.
From what little has been said of other versions of the timeline that looped around, apparently people didn't always end up the same way each time. Previous versions of Monica (assuming that they even existed in those particular timelines) might well have had totally different experiences growing up, so might not have had the same character. And even if they were similar to this version of Monica, they might have been introduced to Phix (if at all) at different times in their development. For all we know, Monica eventually meeting Phix might not even have happened in most timelines.lake_wrangler wrote:But now, after the whole calendar events and knowing about the 57 loops, it just occurred to me that Phix has had to pretend to want to scare Monica (answer the riddle or die) quite a few times, by now, and had to have been aware of how she would react, yet kept insisting on repeating the charade... I'm guessing that however many times Phix has done that to Monica, it was always "the first time" to Monica...

It could really end up souring her personality.Dave wrote:No telling what interactions it would have with chocolate, especially when the patient is a Siren suffering from a hormone storm.
