A paper microscope......for use in the third world as a diagnostic tool for infectious diseases....That costs 50 CENTS to make and is virtually indestructible:

Oooh, I've heard about this! At first I had thought it would make a fine tool for school kids, but it didn't even occur to me that it could save lives too.

This one can be a huge game changer in not only health care but in education and survivalists hands as well.
