Cut yourself some slack Jin.

If Atsali has as much memory of the Lost Lanthians (Etheithians) as is suggested by her words, Jin is seriously overestimating how innocent she is. The wee siren gets where she came from.

She's your padawan, Jin. Deal with it.

"But Auntie Jin, you were soooo good at it! When I grow up, I want to be a powerful, schitzoid, self-righteous sociopath just like you! Were!"

I was under the impression she lost the Lanthian memories but she would have her own memories of the feelings she got from them. Basically she doesn't know the exact whats anymore but she would remember the darkness of that human evil. So yes, she would understand Jin, to an extent.

Okay.

A) Katherine let Atsali out of the house in a one-piece so form-fitting it shows her belly-button? (Though it looks as if the upper portion must have been designed for support by Monica's bra-maker or else Other Things would be making their presence known)

B) The MiB are "paring" young paranormals? Do they have a great big cooking pot, too?

If Jin was, indeed, so willing to chop up innocent youngsters ...

... then "paring" a young paranormal with her might be par for the course. Could cook up all sorts of trouble that way, spice up the situation, etc. etc.

(sorry, I know I'm bad. couldn't help it. not that I tried very hard.)

Darned. Ninja'ed by Fairportfan. Should have expected it. ;)

Sounds like Jin and Bia have so much in common. This could be the actual parring in question not Jin and Atsali.

There's an "i" in there. "Pairing" as in grouping by twos.

And I agree, Jin and Atsali would be a good pair.

Based on http://wapsisquare.com/comic/do-a-lap/ Atsali is EXTREMELY SELF CONSCIOUS about her cleavage and determined to live down the ‘bimbo’ image of siren in general. That’s probably the most conservative suit she could find that was still comfortable. Spandex or something like it may be the only thing Atsali can find that can both fit to her curves and includes sufficient coverage in the upper front region. From the looks it even has a built in bra to provide the support she needs. She may be showing some naval, but nothing of the other sensitive areas.

I suspect some help from Monica had a hand in selecting it. That would explain why they are together here http://wapsisquare.com/comic/free-after-work/, to do some last minute swimsuit shopping before the party.

Actually, i don't think sirens have a "bimbo" image, but rather a "sexual predator" image.

=============

Which it looks as if they definitely are, over in SailorSun.Org, based on some recent strips*.

(Crystal, the pink-haired long-time cast member, is a siren, but she never speaks, because she's consciously trying to avoid that aspect of her heritage, apparently.)

=====================

* The green-haired girl is not actually/normally a siren. But then, she's not normally/actually green-haired. Or a girl.

It's that kind of comic.

I think we have some foreshadowing.

Bia needs a mentor. Tag Jin, your it. Major lifestyle changes to follow.

Clearly, an homage to Tina, for whom the whole beach-side shindig was arranged.

Belly belly belly belly...

It may be a side effect of siren magic. Atsali's probably embarrassed by it, and them; she's at an age for it.

I still bet Katherine is here somewhere. Why bring her kids but exclude their mom?

Katherine primed them on their target and let them go. Castela sets her up (by using the cute and innocent to lull her into a soft place) and Atsali knocks her down (with a "let your own self deprecation bring you down" right cross). A perfect one two punch. Now she is in the right place to work with now young Bia and let the two of them cure each other. (But that is just a guess)

Ok, stop sugar coating it Jin. We have now had a glimpse into the dark side. Apparently Jin has more to live down than unwittingly having taken part in the disintegration of a few hundred thousand people and their homes. We can perhaps forgive some of it if we put it in the greater good category, or "given the circumstances" sort of thing, but murdering children is a bridge too far IMO. She may think so too. Her near suicide a while back may have been about more than just being tired of being alive. And, was it part of some sort of co-lateral damage that they died, or did she personally slit their throats? Without details it's hard to really judge.
