OK now we know where and sort of how and a little bit of why. More information will be forthcoming on the morrow.

Heh. Mon gets straight to business.

Paul: In her speech balloon in panel 2, there's too many "me-s."

Everyone who thought this would involve the Jaguar girl and her abilities get's a cookie.

That explains how Monica ended up there. Tina did not just put her to sleep she enabled Monica to travel the Jet's CSpace. This is the first time Monica has done this and so it is all new to her. Does that mean this whole bit is a training exercise for Monica and her Jaguar girl abilities?

Well, it certainly is that. Rather like the method some people suggest, for teaching a cat to swim... throw it in the water. :?

Whether that's all of what's going on, remains to be seen... but I rather doubt it. It really does look as if Georgette needs some help.

Monica has missed the obvious question, though she may think of it soon: How long has the goo been here?

What I find interesting in this strip is that Georgette's covey seems to work by different rules than Monica's. You notice? They're bound to 'Jet until she dies, and none of them can leave the quantum space they occupy. Monica's demons could come out into real space and whisper things to her directly. Shelly's covey got mashed together into one, but could still come out when she called.

I think this is what was meant by M and Shel being "doorways." Georgette, for whatever reason, did not become a doorway, so her demons are confined to this quantum space. That's probably the way it normally works.

So it looks to me like Georgette is not, after all, some kind of paranormal. The only exceptional thing about her is the presence of that...psychic tapeworm.

At least, I hope that's an exceptional thing...

Interesting that Georgette's demons do not know what the "tar" was/is or where it came from. Did Monica bring it with her, or is it the reason Tina summoned her?

So far Monica does not look like she is glad this has happened. Paul only knows where the story is headed now, but if past episodes are any indication, I would guess it is headed straight to "cliffhanger Friday"

Couriouser and couriouser . . . .

Sooooo...if Guidance knows that only a Jaguar girl can come and go, but does NOT know how the tar got there, what can be concluded? Is the goo somehow Jaguar-girl-like in its essence, except gooey and single-minded? Hard to say, but if the parameters of existence in Jet's quantum space are so limited, there can only be a small number of possibilities, IMHO.

Which when you think about it is very quantum...

Well, the tar is tar.

And it's something Monica has never seen before.

So it's a new gooey thing, innit?

Now we know why Monica will thank Tina... for the chance to learn more about her powers as the Jaguar Girl. Odd that not much has been said about the powers prior to this point. She's known she's the Jaguar girl for quite awhile now. At least we'll get to see a bit more of what Monica can actually do as the Jaguar Girl.

I get the feeling that by the time that 180 was completed she'd be wearing spots...

I'm pretty sure that if Mon brought the tar with her, Guidance and/or Anger would have said so.
